Is that what its called? :shrug
Its a 10' ant. I was told it was for my C.B. radio witch I dont have yet.
the ant. was free ( great price :thumbup )
I got for my trips to hungry valley where there is a billion little dudes zipping around on quads & stuff they come out of no where real fast.
I worry about sqaushing one one day. :cry
So to help prevent that ,
I am putting this whip on my bronco. But it has no flag on it. does any one know of a cool place to by flags for this purpose?

I hope that when I put this on my truck those little zipping dudes might bother to look & see my flag sticking up over the edge of a hill so they dont have to check my TTB suspension design.

Does anyone here recomend the best place to install this?
I was thinking the front pass fender or bumper . that would put the flag at the ealyest warning place possible
you know as I'm climbing a hill the fisrt thing up is the flag.
I could put it on the back fender but then its at the lowest point of the truck during the climb..

Then I thought I could put it in the middle.Close to the roof line.
but when I bend it down to tie it for travel or low obsticles it be It might be awkward.

So what are your thoughts? Flag? position? :shrug

it would make the most sense.
I have gone to a few places & no one even runs them.
Well no thats not true the quads run them.
How about a flag where do I get that? :shrug
Do they have to be neon orange? or could I put my own cool design?

I know hungry valley dont require flags neither does azusa or rowher flats.

pismo might? I dont have a clue. :shrug

If there is some sort of rule for it I'd like to insatll it only once . in the right place. :banghead

most dont run them in pismo.. they sell the ones with orange flags there.. im sure you can find a cool flag somewhere.. go look for those places that sell window flags, usa, lakers, dodgers, skulls etc.. pull the plastic holder off and tie it to the whip..

Most of the moto-x shops around here carry full whip + flag. Give a few a call to see if they have just the flags, I'm sure someone has torn up a flag and needs a replacement...

I just installed a 102 inch whip attenna on my beast. I haven't put a flag on yet, but, will do when I get to Gorman again. I never knew about having to put the flag on the front of the truck. IN my opinion, my experience has been the motos and quad pyschos outta control on their machines. They need to be a little more careful.

Anyways.
Here is where I installed my whip on the beast.

Can't really see the whole attenna in this one, but, what the hell.

I have run with 1 an 2 flags it just depends on if i can find both of them or if a friend needs one. We mount them to the front bumper. I think you should get a flag like this :rebelflag sweeet.

Ok I found the flags, whips etc.
I just went to my local sand toy shop ,You know where they sell quads & sand tires etc.

Its funny that I had to go to a qaud shop to find what I wanted to get, so I dont sqaush those same people.

It turns out that you typical whip is much thicker than my C.B. ant. is .
I could make one of those flags fit my regular car ant type whip but I think I might be better off looking for one of those regular car ant. type flags.
So now I want a cool car ant. I'll probably just run an american flag. they're easy to find. but will a regular car ant. type flag be big enough? they are usally pretty small in comparison

Hey B-man that looked cool where you put yours but has anyone seen them mounted on the front fender?
I wonder If it would look stupid.

It just seems to make more sense for the purpose that I want to use it for to put it up front.
Any one got a pic of this?

Just a suggestion, if you run the desert at night think about a nice shiny reflective flag. Running say an American Flag at night isn't as noticable as something that reflects light.

Thats A good point tho. I found some whips that have little electric lights mounted on the top I dont know If they strobe or what . But that light with the reflective flag would be great !
I'm sure I'll run @ night sooner or later.

looking forward to the lameness Or would it be better said the lameality? :shrug

But if you take the pics right we wont know that!( that your in your drive way) be creative or use this as an excuse to go wheeling so you could take the pic.

Thanks for taking the pic for me .
Mine has a spring @ the bottom does yours? I'm just wondering how out of control crazy whiping around the whip will do while wheeling?
I will tie it down while on road .

So what your saying is that yours is bigger than mine
yeah mine is only 5-6 foot but it should give you an idea of what it will look like. have you thought about the back bumper on the corner that would be a good spot if you dont want to use it as a flag holder.
