Is that big windage tray thing really necessary and say you didn't put it on, would it effect your oil pressure?

Thats the intake gasket, I left the stock intake on when I did the swap, wanted to see if the motor was good before anymore mods. Its a strong 460 so a new intake, rods & mains will be goin in.

Ya it looks like it was leaking by the pics. Anyways lucky you didnt pop it off only to find an inch of sludge in the oil galley like I did on my old motor. Broke out 2 spoons to get it all out!

Are you kidding jopesy??? With a 55-60lb intake like that you run the risk of getting all kinds of stuff in the engine!! that is if your ripping it off your self! Not fun.

Tip #1 for the write up Pepe'

Caution.. coolant on painted black bumper may be hazerdous to your ability to stay with one foot inside engine bay and one foot on coolant laiden bumper.. Super split/face plant combo! Ouch!

http://www.superford.org/registry/vehicles/users/2116/1332/t_Inside.JPG Oh ya I knew that. That means one foot wouldnt be caught near the pS pump and one trying to make its way to the ground... while still being attached to your body!

Oh I got it the first time Matt! Just have to be a smartass! :P
If you think ditching face first into your Bronco hurts... try dangeling by a stump when the leg won't disconnect! OUCH!

I hate it when stizz like that happens, but it's better when there are no witnesses! ;) (Unless your stuck bleeding on the floor all alone!)

interesting. I never seen a metal gasket fall into little peices.

if you think your mini vacuum is going to pull dirt off of a oil soaked block you are a complete moron.

Not all metal, looks like there is some other gasket material used for the intake as well, WTF. Block suprisingly was not soaked, vac can get most....rag the rest.

Dang that still took a long time. Mine took a week cuz I had to spend a day pulling sludge out with a spoon, throw gas down the holes, wait for it to air out(over night I guess) clean the old intake off, put it back on, decide thats a stupid idea to just fix a gasket and not upgrade, go to the store buy the only one on the shelf(performer), come back R&R it all by myself, thats when I did that nasty split off the front of my truck I was tellin ya ll about in Pepe's header write up. Anyways intake swaps are easy. Ended up trading that performer for a set of tires(33s), what a waste only to find out 2 weeks later my friend was gonna run a performer on his car!! I felt like an ass. The only tire im getting use out of is the one my old block is sitting on.

Glad to see ya finishin' that up. Some folks here have no responsibilities
other than work. Gives 'em plenty-o-time for bronco upgrades. Yer
doin' yer own work, while weather dictates when that happens, have
family commitments, and ya seem to actually wheel yer rig as well.
Let the naysayers' comments roll on off man, 'cuz we do what we can
to get the job done and when it comes right down to it...their comments
don't mean squat. Opinions are like...well, you know.

I admit it, it did take a while. While I was doing the swap I upgraded my booster and master cylinder to F-350.

Yea the dizzy is the MSD drop in, I like it but it has some demons........when hot and has sit for about 5-10 min I have to retard and advance the timing to get it started.
