I don't even need him to pimp his ride, my vote went to Andy. The proof was in the pudding, 4" with 35's kicking the Con's ass while hanging with the big dogs.

That proves two things:

1. He knows how to drive
2. He built his rig well

Not only that but he provides tech write ups, he answers questions, he grills no0bs and then points them in the right direction. What more can you do, he deserves this months award.

Gives me faith that a rig with 4" of lift is viable on the trails.

I only caught the rear bumper that you ****led
*****led rear bumper
*****led tail pipe (but i was gonna cut off the last 90* bend anyway, so we wont count that)
*lots of custom sierra nevada pinstriping
*bent my skid plate a lot more
*rock rash all over everything on the underside including the y-pipe, rear pinion yoke, frame, leaf springs
*banged the door in the old sluice and it wedged the front right fender into the door, when my dad opened the door to get out = instant creasing
*banged the fiberglass top and almost busted out the side window in gate keeper
*i think i'm getting some cracks in the 8.8
*scraped up aluminum wheels

but nothing major, just doesn't get as shiny anymore. i need a paint job anyway; after 15 years, the clear coat is done and the colors are starting to fade because its never been garaged.

Unfortunatly I won't be whorin' my ride out too much this month.
I'm leaking tranny fluid, clunckin' when shifting gears, my rear end has been going out for month's now (changed gear oil last year and saw bucku metal shavings, it's only a matter of time) and if that don't beat all... I'm tearing my new 35's (rear tires) to shreds when I do get offroad.
So... as much as I love to use and abuse my Bronco, I need to take it easy on her for a little while. She's the only family vehicle we have right now, and she needs some TLC & $$$ before I can get out and get nasty with 'er again.
Hopefully the HOG will be done in the next few weeks, then we go buy my wife a new truck (to replace the repo'd Grand Cherokee) and then I'll be able to give the StoneBronco the attention she needs.
I'm working on getting a 4in. lift, and picking up Andy's old rear end... so plans are in the making, but this month I just can't get her out there to get ya'll the pics you deserve.
Anyway... for anyone interested (noobies especially), my Superford site (click on my Bronco below) is full of pics including the crazy paintjob, engine swap, explorer seat swap, rear seat fire, new 35 BFG's, a few trips out here and there (can't take many pics when your wheelin' all alone), and much much more.

It made her day, and that in turn made mine :thumbup After that they took turns getting stuck and pulling each other out with their Power Wheels quad. If it makes my kids happy, it makes me happy.

Yea, "Ram Air" intake. I actually cut it with snips. It's only about 24gauge. Pretty easy to cut. Improved the mileage by 1 and runs better when it's hot out. You just have to plan ahead when diving into deep water so as not to flood the motor. I am working on a plug of sorts that can be quickly installed and removed.

Thats awsome! I asked how you cut it cuz the shape is very unique, im sure that molding helps a bit, but it looks great. You should make a plug with a remove before flight banner on it....

When I was racing door slammers as a youngster, a friend of mine used to weld big 1" 1/2 horizontal "fins" fore and aft on the rear tubes to solve this problem.
He now has a business handling nothing but racecar fabrication, tube frames, four link rear ends, aluminum sheet metal work,etc. (Mike Duffy Race Cars in Moore, Okla)

That was one scary trip. The trailer is 29'. I would have to guess at the weight but I'd say somewhere between 5500# and 6000#. I towed it 270miles across Washington. 2 fisted all the way. :eek: :eek:
