While it's nice that we live in a country where someone can express their opinion regardless of how much against "public" opinion it may be, we must remember that for ANY president, any public figure or any person we so revere in society you could pretty much do the same thing he's doing - creating a laundry list of all sorts of indiscretions that Reagan was supposedly guilty of and leaving out every single one of the good things that he did.

I'm not speaking for or against Reagan because I wasn't old enough to really comprehend what he was doing as President and was born a year after he took office. I'm happy someone feels comfortable expressing an opinion like that.

It just seems inappropriate at such a time. Regardless of your opinion of someone, there's something highly disrespectful to in speaking that way of the dead, particularly when, as a writer, he should realize that every single one of the president's was most likely guilty of things similair, if not worse, to what Reagan did.

Note: Nothing personal against you, badkarma, just thinking out loud and giving my opinion on the article.

Greg WHO??

ya same here, you can also read the NY york times, LA times, etc... and here there anti-anything republican view there. I don't care if you don't like republicans, but I get bothered when a La times writer said Reagan spreaded Aids :wacko and Jesse "high" jackson said Reagan called MLK a communist :wacko . When people rip ANY dead president less then a week when he is dead is an outrage.

Democrats are doing what they have too do, becuase they are losing control in seatings throughout the political scene

Sorry for the confusion SrA... it was the DEBIL!!! :goodfinge

Trickle Down was BAD and I don't think that anyone (except the rich) would be able to disagree... hell, he name itself implies recieving very little (trickle), and coudl easily be compared to "being pissed on".

I always like the persona Ronnie put forward, but... he was an actor and that was his gig, to make people like him. My Dad voted for him and I remember the creepy feelin' I had about him then. He grew on me, but what did I know... I was a kid.
Looking back... when the dust settles, I just don't see what made him so special (other than paveing the way for President Terminator).
