I am not positive yet but we may move from one server to another tonight in a move that will provide us better uptime/bandwidth/speed, this should take place between 3am and 4am Eastern US time, we are NOT changing hosts again, our host offered me this opportunity and I couldnt let it pass, downtime should be minimal and will only effect you night owls and maybe some on the left coast due to time difference

The uptime is better than it used to be! Seen a few times the server was down with the current server, but if theres something better, go for it!

I read this when I logged on here today. Then I started browsing through the site. Right now this site is horribly slow, so if the server was moved it appears to me to be a huge mistake. The last reply I posted before this one took a full 75 seconds to go through & navigating to this thread to post this took another 90 seconds. This reply will probably tak way too long to go through too.

its zooming right along for me, HOWEVER, we havent changed servers yet, the new one is set up and everything is transferred but I still have to change the DNS stuff so the domain will point to it, i'll do it sometime this weekend, so right now we are still on the old one

i have no problem at all joe. seeing that this is friday at 230 myt time.

For some reason the email notification to subscribed threads seems to not be working. I checked my settings, and they are still set to instant notification. Has anyone else noticed this since the server move?

it may be a cookie issue :shrug i'd give it about a week and time for the domain name to start working again and see what happens

It's always been decent for me, so I don't see much difference. My local cable internet is 3mbps, compared most DSL being 128kbps. I don't even try to go to FSB when I'm out of town and on dial-up.
