OldBlue

im not sure where the dunes are either. if its a longer drive you might count me out unless I can ride with some one. If not the dunes we can give the B a go again and go up to holbrook canyon then after tahn cruise over to north canyon for some mud.

The Dunes are out near Delta, about an hour or so south west of Salt Lake. It costs about 8 bucks to get in if I remember correctly but the place is absolutly worth the trip.

It's more than an hour from slc because delta is 1.5 hrs. Last time I went I didn't think it was that cool (but I was 12). we should go somewere a little closer though. How about out by little moab. Not alot of wheeling but there wouldn't be anycops around. I would be down for a camping trip too.

I have always wanted to go to Lil' Moab, but I have heard that the stockers wont have much fun, is this true Justin?

You know guys, i am cool to go anywhere really, My tranni is almost toast, so for me closer the better, but in all reality I just love to farcking wheel my shit.

little moab it self isn't very much fun for stockers but If you all want to go to nutty putty caves it's just around the corner. I saw we go somewere with some hard obsticles so I can justify taking the sami.

we can still hit the B. there is is some descent stuff there if you go to the right places. Plus its close. My buddy kevin will be leading us to some of the better stuff since he knows the areas real well. we can hit old ward road first. then hit some of the side trails and come out at buckland flats. head up to old sheepheards road and down behind holdbrook canyon. after that we can either come out at farmington canyon or head on over to north canyon and hit the mud pit.

where ever we start we have to end though because I Have to tow the sami.

We could also do american fork canyon if you want to, headed up there to check it out.

Went to the rock garden and up to mineral basin up american fork canyon and it was cool. You would need a locker to get through it though. There is a bunch of other places up there we can go if you guys want. We should do like a saturdayn night/ sunday campout.

OldBlue
07-07-2004, 03:13 AM
yeah we could do tha campout at the B there are lots of camping spots up there.

"B"?

Monte
07-07-2004, 10:41 PM
Little Moab is cool but not for stockers. American Fork it too far with the gas prices that they are. 456 and a heathy 351 don't mix. The B is close and pretty good all around. What about Corner Canyon or Butterfield? I have never been to these but heard good stuff about them?????

Justin's bronco
07-08-2004, 03:51 PM
american fork is no farther for you guys as it is for us SLC guys to drive to you. Butterfield caynon is all posted private property and I haven't been up forner caynon much, but I know there are alot of houses around there.

Corner Canyon is off limits and closed to all off road activity.
I have had friends get tickets going up there.

American fork is cool, but I think it would be too hot to camp out there.

I really dont want to go to the "B" again.

It seems like there isnt going to be any place thats makes anyone happy.
Justin I want to go to Lil Moab
Garth I want to go to the dunes.
Where can we make a compromise here y'all?????

Jer is afraid of breaking something again lol.

OldBlue
07-10-2004, 05:56 AM
Ps. sorry didnt mean to double post

There really is a lot more to the B than what you guys saw. specially since we were oh about 10 feet into the B.

The only thing I am afraid of breaking is your head :goodfinge

My point is I dont care where we go, however I really want to try out those two places I mentioned.

Garth has told me a few things about the dunes that sounds like it could be fun. :shrug

West Valley is only like 15 minutes from bountiful...Ive left my house at 11:45 and made it to my girlfriends right at 12 a ton of times (thats her curfew), of course Ive been in my T/A when we've done that, so going faster then 80 has its plus side...

Im out for tomorrow, I gotta try and fix my drivers side window, I think the motor puked itself

OldBlue

Im in total agreeance with monte here. had my truck going for 1 day then it took a pewk on sunday afternoon. ECM went out.

Monte my next weekend off I will let you know. there are a couple ppl from around here that want to go up so we can go have some fun.

Burl Swift
07-28-2004, 06:19 PM
Im in total agreeance with monte here.

Sure looks like Monte is the only one who lost his cool though. Made a statement about "drop it" but yelled while doing it. This whole thread is totally pointless, no one should have gotten bent out of shape over an event that is supposed to be fun and relaxing.

I can't even believe that people are argueing over milage...I mean come on and think about it. Sure...you and Monte want to wheel in Bountiful, shit, I would to if I could throw a rock from my driveway and hit the "B", but thats not the case for everyone. Everyone in SLC has to drive somewhere(over 15 miles) to wheel legally, and its not going to be Bountiful every time, just like its not going to be little Moab or the Dunes all the time. You guys shouldn't be bitching over this stuff, just discuss and make a descision...but argueing is pointless.

Regardless...if we want to wheel together we're going to need to agree on where to go. Which isn't going to happen all the time. But thats not a big deal...if the SLC guys feel like wheeling in Bountiful then it will happen...if the Bountiful guys want to wheel somewhere else then it will happen.

Just because someone doesn't want to wheel somewhere doesn't mean that nobody else can. Shit...if you and Monte really wanted to wheel the "B" this past weekend there shouldn't have been anything stopping you. Just like if Jer and Drew wanted to wheel the dunes...nothing should have stopped them.

Now...if the entire lot of Utah guys wants to wheel together then there needs to be some planning. I mean like weeks and weeks in advance type planning. Thats the only way we can pull something like this off.

OldBlue
07-29-2004, 04:12 AM
this was weeks and weeks in advance. like over a month. anyhow. only reason I didnt go was cuz I got my truck going then it took a shit again. monte wants to go as well.

once the truck is up and going good I have no problems traveling that far, but as for this time im glad I held to the "B" because where would I have been had it taken a shit while on the way to little moab or the duneS?

This post was simply an invite to have a get to gether or go wheeling up at the B. was everyones choice on if to come or not. Monte didnt loose his cool per say, but when the same dead horse subject gets brought back up, eh its a little frustrating.

Monte
07-29-2004, 03:39 PM
First I didn't loose my cool for no reason. I just don't like to be called an ass. HUM I and wonder who was the one bringing this post up all the time and callin me one, Like I always said "I'M JOKING" But it looks like people can't take a joke around here. Second, I said "I'M DOWN WITH GOING WHERE EVER" So before people start calling names maybe they should check before they post a reply. I also think this post IS GETTING OLD. Hell I have even driven to WY, CO and CA to go wheeling so why in the hell wouldn't I drive to SLC? I'm sorry if i hurt anyone feelings over this but come on guys can't we all get along????

By the way Brad THANKS. :beer

Burl Swift
07-29-2004, 04:29 PM
I'm hoping we can all get along, hell, I think we all had a good time when we met up at the B the last time, Jer just broke early and its kinda cut things short.

I agree, we should let this thread die.
