View Full Version : BroncoAir stuff
BoulderBronco 08-11-2004, 05:18 PM Here is what we offer. Our York On Board Air kit is designed for the 87-96 Ford 302's and 351's with AC. It allows the installation of the popular York AC compressor for On Board Air. It locates it just above the ABS pump and just to the side of the stock AC compressor/PS pump. Until the end of August I will offer these kits at a discounted price of $185 to any FSB member.

This is our Extreme Duty Winch Bumper. It is designed for a bolt on application for the 92-96 model Ford trucks. The subframe is constructed of 1/4" steel while the outer pieces are 3/16". The bumper is designed for better clearance to run larger tires, offers better approach angles, and has extremely solid construction for winching, pulling or just bouncing over a rock. Running along the back side of the bumper horizontally is an additional 3/16" steel ridge of support for added strength. The bumper also comes with additional support brackets to take some of the stress off the stock mounts as two D Ring/tow points. Options for the bumper include 6" light holes and fully welded grille guard.

bronco culture 08-12-2004, 11:30 AM that bumper is nice.. Any chance for a 1989 fsb and what the fee..
BoulderBronco 08-12-2004, 03:41 PM Sorry but nothing in the plans for the 86 model. The demand for those just isn't there. Same is true with the 87-91 model.
Dangling_Dave 08-12-2004, 08:05 PM Hey Chris, you should offer a pulley that is sized for the Sag. pump. I had a devil of a time finding a machine shop to do the work. Then I found one three miles from work that is enlarging the hole for me.
Other than that I have really liked using the BroncoAir kit I bought from you, what three years ago, it rocks!
Just a thought...

Bluebeast 08-12-2004, 09:23 PM chris i have a question. i havent installed the kit since i bought it from ya on ebay. but i have a problem that one of the A/C hoses is in the way of where the york pump mounts. i have looked at others setups and it seems like mine is a bastardized hose that comes off the A/C. if you could help of have any thoughts on this it would be much appreciated.
BTW, Chris makes one heck of a product. i bought mine used and it still looked brand spankin new. all the welds are great and the holes for the brackets match up perfect.
Dangling_Dave 08-13-2004, 12:34 PM I ran into the same problem and had to bend the AC hose just a little bit.

Yeah, like Dave said sometimes the AC line just needs a little tweak. I have yeat to see an AC line that was completly in the way. If it is I would assume it's an aftermarket or replacement line that is different from the factory. Just be carefull not to overbend the line. It is flexible but only to an extent and then you could crease it or put a hole in it. Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Bluebeast 08-13-2004, 03:53 PM thanks. i plan on tooling with it when i get the truck back and if i have anymore questions ill direct them at either one of you. thanks dave and chris.
93_bronco 08-13-2004, 09:56 PM whats the weight on that bumper and what do you charge
BoulderBronco 08-14-2004, 07:31 PM whats the weight on that bumper and what do you charge
I don't have the exact weight of the bumper but I would say it is around 50 pounds heavier than the stock one. If you are worried about drooping of the front end you can add 1/4" Superlift spacers under the coils. On my 93 with 6" Superlift it only dropped the front 1/4"-3/8" more and thats with the Warn M12000. The base bumper runs $775. Add the grille guard for $395 or light holes for $190. Shipping is usually between $100 and $150.
BlancoBronco 08-16-2004, 09:54 PM That dont come with the compressor or does it?
What compressor bolts up to it?
How many psi will it put out?
I want it mostly for tires.
at this point anyway.
I.ve seen this kit around for a while but dont know much about it. :shrug
Dangling_Dave 08-17-2004, 12:16 PM Nope, no compressor, the kit is just the mounting hardware. You can score the compressor cheap at any junkyard. It works best with a York 210 A/C compressor which is found in most 70/80 and early 90's vehicles. Puts out 10cfm so you can run air tools, fill up tires in no time etc. The last pump I got ran about $20.00. Then you will need to build a manifold and get some kind of air storage, I use a 2.5 gallon tank.
Here are some pictures of my setup, sorry they are not very good.

RIght on. As Dave said it does not come with the compressor. If you do some searching online for ON BOARD AIR YORK you can find some good info on different setups and options. Then you can determine which parts you would like and which you feel you can do without. Also Kilby Enterprises (OnBoardAir.com (http://www.onboardair.com) ) has most everything you will need (except our kit) to plumb up your system.

Thanks for the interest man, but sorry, no plans for a rear bumper. We can do a custom build for you but it would be pricey.
CasterTroy 08-22-2004, 08:03 PM well I can settle for a killer front for now :thumbup
BoulderBronco 08-22-2004, 08:59 PM If you are interested in ordering a bumper PM me or email me at Chris@Broncoair.com.
blueoval78 08-22-2004, 09:17 PM chris are those light pockets set up for any light, or a specific light?
it is 4'' too right?
BoulderBronco 08-23-2004, 12:22 AM Chris, they are 6" holes designed around Piaa's driving lights. I imagine other 6" lights will work but the mounting may be different, which could be easily modified.
blueoval78 08-23-2004, 09:36 AM sweet thanks man
