I think my dad enjoys making things difficult with the Broncos. Then he can tell me how easy the engine swap was in the Swinger, or how easily he finds parts for the race car.
Ok, last week he tells me he found out the '78 Bronco has a heavy duty 9" with 2800 pound axles, and that the brake shoes are supposed to be 2.5" instead of the 2.25" that came off it.
He's doing the brakes today and he comes upstairs all pissy and says he's gotta go to the parts store to "try and find some brakes for that dern Bronco." He says the ones he got are too thin and won't adjust out far enough. That he can't find anybody that makes 2.5" brakes that will fit the Bronco.
Now my question is THIS...is my dad just nuts, or does everybody have problems finding the right brakes? Before we got the engine finished he had me convinced that nobody made the right exhaust valves. Then the crap we went through with the motor mounts.
Maybe I should just get a Dodge, something he knows how to fix. :???:
