View Full Version : F.O.T.M./BRONCO MAG.
MudMad 09-14-2004, 04:57 PM HEY I JUST GOT THROUGH READING THE BRONCO MAG. I WAS GLAD TO SEE THE ARTICLE OF PLUG UGLY. HEY THAT IS ON AWESOME AND DESERVING TRUCK TO BE IN THAT MAG. I ONLY HAVE ONE PROBLEM THOUGH. I THOUGHT THAT THEY GOT THAT ARTICLE BASED ON WINNING THE F.O.T.M HERE ON THE FULLSIZEBRONCO.COM. I REALLY ENJOYED THE ARTICLE AND ALL OF THE UPGRADES DONE TO THE TRUCK. HOWEVER, I DIDN'T SEE ANY MENTION OF THIS WEB SITE. I DID SEE WT4WHEELING MENTIONED A FEW TIMES. I KNOW THAT YOU MAY HAVE GOT SOME IDEAS AND MADE FRIENDS OVER THEIR, BUT AT LEAST GIVE CREDIT TO THOSE THAT GOT YOU PUT INTO THE MAG. HEY, I VISITED THAT WEB SITE AND ENJOYED IT AS WELL. I EVEN WHEELED WITH SOME OF THE REGULAR MEMEBERS IN WT. JUST WAS WONDERING WHERE THE PROPS. ARE FOR THOSE THAT GOT YOU THEIR. DON'T FORGET THE LITTLE GUYS. :shrug PS. LOVE THAT TRUCK.
....BASED ON WINNING THE F.O.T.M HERE ON THE MYBIGBRONCO.COM....
:shocked :shocked :slap
Talk about givin' props to a website, at least get our name right. ;)
Dustin 09-14-2004, 05:01 PM so what is it your disapointed about? him not metioning mbb? If I recall it was everyone here at FSB that voted for him that put him in the mag not mbb since its gone under a long time ago.
so yeah Im confused what your upset about
Dustin 09-14-2004, 05:03 PM :shocked :shocked :slap
Talk about givin' props to a website, at least get our name right. ;)
is that what the deal is? Im pretty sure I saw fsb on there somewhere. Im pretty sure its on the logo on the first page of the article too.
MudMad 09-14-2004, 05:10 PM OK, I CHECKED MY .COM AND FIXED THAT. I NEVER SAID I WAS UPSET. JUST WONDERING ABOUT THE PROPER PROPS IN THE ARTICLE ITSELF. ALL I SAW WAS HOW HE WENT ON THE WT WEB SITE AND GOT ALL HIS IDEAS AND HELP FROM THEM. I GUESS WE ARE JUST NOT AS UP TO PAR HERE ON OUR EXPERTISE. JUST KIDDING. I DIDN'T POST THIS TO MAKE IT A WAR OR SOMEONE TRYING TO GET EVERYONE FIRED UP. I JUST DIDN'T SEE FULLSIZEBRONCO.COM MENTION THROUGHOUT THE ARTICLE AND WT WAS MENTIONED 3 OR 4 TIMES. IF IT WAS MENTIONED THEN I APOLOGIZE AS I MUST NOT HAVE SEEN THAT. SORRY IF THIS UPSET ANYONE. NOT MEANT TO DO THAT.
WT is more like a club, its not just a nationwide website like FSB. If my understanding is correct the WT guys are all pretty local to each other and hang out a lot. So yeah, they probably did play a bigger part in Damon's ideas.
I mean, most of the rigs here are stock anyway. :shrug
BikerPepe` 09-14-2004, 06:29 PM Babe... you troublemaker! :goodfinge :hug
I haven't seen it yet, but I would think that any member making a writeup would show some appreciation to the membership that nominated and voted for the rig that got them in the mag.
Not a requirment mind you... just good manners I 'spose, especially if thier givin' props to another .COM. :shrug
Dustin 09-14-2004, 07:14 PM well if it makes you guys happy I give props to fsb in my article to be released next issue :thumbup

plug ugly 09-16-2004, 12:05 AM deleted due to accidental duplicate posting.
plug ugly 09-16-2004, 12:11 AM hmm, sorry you are upset about it. In some regard, I agree with you.l It was this site that allowed me to be entered into that magazine. There are a few things that I wish were different in that article, or that could have been written better. Hell, I left out lots of info that could have been put in there. I haev never had to talk so much about myself or my rig at one time, so I do apologize if you all feel slighted.
OTH, in all actuality, it was Chevyboat who really helped me with the building process. He was there with wrench in hand for both axle swaps. It was also the guys from my club, WT, that I wheeled with for the last several years, that helped me plan and learn what I wanted to build to begin with. If you think about it, however, there are so many people that were in some way involved with building mine, or anyones rigs. After all, I have frequented many bronco and wheeling sites in the last several years. Hell, half those parts I bought from you anyways Mudmad.
Anyhoo, I didnt mean to slight anyone. I do apologize for not having mentioned FSB, but this being my second issue of the magazine, I thought it was implied where I came from. I have always tried to do as much as I can in helping answer peoples questions, doing write ups, posting pics, etc, but I guess that just isnt enuf for some people.
MudMad 09-16-2004, 02:27 PM Why does everyone think I was upset? I'm not upset! Plug Ugly I didn't mean anything against you or your rig or especially the guys over at WT. I'm glad that you gave credit to the people that helped you build your AWESOME truck. Hell, I'm jealous as hell that I can't build my truck to run and look like yours. I was simply stating that I didn't see any mention of this web site anywhere in the article. You know, kinda like an emmy. You know, I'd like to thank the people that got me here, all the people that voted for me from FSB that gave me the opportunity to get into the mag. That's all. And of course you have to mention all the people from WT that you wheel and build your rig with. That's just the way it should be. Hope you didn't take this as a personal attack on you or anything as I think your one of the coolest guys I've got to talk to from this board and plus your truck is truly awesome and it has been built right. Geesh, I hope that this goes away. It's getting stressful every time I come to this site. I'm exhausted at 10:26am.
plug ugly 09-16-2004, 05:57 PM no hurt feelings here Emmett. I was just being my usualy sarcastic asshat self, sorry if you didnt see the humor in it.
I do agree with your last post, however.
MudMad 09-16-2004, 06:14 PM See what I mean, you're just one of the coolest guys we've got on here. Please youngin's, take note. :thumbup
plug ugly 09-16-2004, 06:51 PM some would argue that, but thanks anyways
BikerPepe` 09-16-2004, 06:59 PM He ain't too bad a guy... just wish he'd answer his damn phone when I'm in the neighborhood! :goodfinge (j/k)
I think this is a good thread for setting expectations anyway.
Our affiliation with Bronco Driver hasn't been very well defined and this is a good step in the right direction.
Just glad no-one got over dramatic! :thumbup
plug ugly 09-17-2004, 12:13 AM I cried for two hours, is that dramatic?
Honestly tho, is it not known that that section of the mag is due to this site? I ASSumed they had put something in the mag, before I had started recieving it, that ackowledged this site. I saw on Mel's writeup that there was a FOTM little sticker type thing on it, so I made the assumption. Apparently I was wrong?????????
Either way, Emmett is right. i do apologize to those {(like Pepe) that put their heart and soul into this site} for not having acknowledged them, or the folks that voted for me.
Geesh, Im getting all semi-mental about this
:cry
BikerPepe` 09-17-2004, 06:52 PM Don't sweat the petty stuff... pet the sweaty stuff! :thumbup
...and just to clairfy, if my name ends in in that mag for any other reason than my own F.O.T.M. win, I'm coming after ya! :goodfinge
