If this has been posted before sorry, I didn't know what "topic" I should search for to find out. Here Goes:

We need to have our own annual "get together". I'm not exactly sure what all is involved in planning such a thing but between all of us we could work it out, I'm sure. Since we have memebers all over the states, and abroad (Oscar,81Bronk36, and all or canadian friends) we should plan it in a fairly neutral location and on a timeline when our over sea brothers are back home (I think I've read in posts araound here some where that it could be soon that Oscar goes to Jaxville, and hopefully they'll send 81Bronk36 back to us soon) Anyway just a thought to get some ideas brewing :shrug . What do the rest of you think?

I WISH!!!
It's been done before with other online clubs, but with everyone so spread out... plan on 25% attendance tops!

I like the idea of regional get togethers just becouse it makes it easier for everyone to make it in a specific area.

If your not haulin your ride... a long road trip and then wheelin... then driving back home can get to be a spendy proposition.

Anyway... hope to see something like this someday, but doubt I'd be able to make it. :(

Good luck! :thumbup

very cool idea and it would be great...even if there were different locations of people that could meet. But, driving my rig to a meet is out of the question, unless it is about an hour away or so :(

When I go out wheelin' I wonder if I will be able to make it home, (from breakage) let alone driving for hours/wheeling and then having to drive home

yea it would be cool. but everybody is to spread out. maybe a regional meet once a year then a club meet like once every 4 years or something like that to give everybody time to plan out everything

Hey, at least were thinking....How about an annual BBQ, meet-n-greet, show&shine, picknic type family thing, and smaller "regional" wheelin outings? That way if ya break something wheelin your at least close to home. Also some peoples can make more than one get together...But I'm with you Damager I have a habit of breaking shit too, and with my rig setup the way it is gas is an issue with me as well. I'd still try to make any that I could....

Example: annual FSB jamboree, Dixie chapter of the FSB fun in the sun (stupid name but us southerners are already talking about an outing whatever we call it), Midwest wheelin in the wheat...etc. (excuse the goofy names, you get the picture though)

P.S. I know annual would be thin Pepe, but 25% of our club would be an assload a people

I like the idea too Blaze, but it would be hard, even if we did it pretty much in the center of the USA!!

And if we did it like that those that are only an hour away from the meeting spot must drive 3 hours away from the meeting point and then back to the location. Just to make it fair for everyone......

I think the regional thing is probably the most doable..I know we have at least 10 from Florida, maybe more..The timing is always the tough part.

I think me and you have discussed the "Dixie Chapter" thing before...Lets start planning one now for say july or so and a good many of us oughta be able to make arangements by then. I've heard ya'll say something about a park down there, right? Lets throw it out to our other southern Bros and see what happens....

P.S. Bro is an affectionate term that includes you wheelin ladies...

I should be home sometime within the next month and a half unless they change it yet again. Damager ill have to see if I get home-home in time for that so far I got leave in the books Aug 10-20 and then a bunch around Christmas. I would love to get together with the Minnesota crew. So far there is only like 4 or 5 people from that area. I already have to drive 45 minutes away for some decent and legal mudding, and limped it home from some yet to be determined bucking in first after my tranny wouldnt shift out of gear.

When and if I go to Vandy(in Santa Barbra County) I would like to do at least one get together at Oceano(PISMO) and I want to roll down to San Diego and see whats up there. I will be hitting Pismo every weekend when I do go there.

what you need is people to step up in different regions and just put down a date about a month or so in advance and they take the issue of setting up and leading the run.

Works for me, brah! Lets start talking it up (I'll post in the "east" forum when I get home from work today) and see if we can get a bunch in with us. Then sometime later in the month I'll come down that way and we'll hash out the details over a cold one.... What date you wanna try to shoot for? or Should we wait and get imput from the others?

Blaze, no reason to wait. The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned. How about the weekend of July 13th? If we start now, we can have everything squared away ahead of time. How far away is Norman?
