It was converted when I got, it had a stock 2v autolite on it. I put the 4v and intake on with some help rebuilding the 4v from Manny.

now for the rest of my storage solutions. I based the idea off of some of the guys that built a false floor and put drawers in it. well I happened to have a large sheet of 3/4" MDF lying around

It is going to stretch from wheel well to wheel well and be 15" deep. Sit 5 1/2" high. to the right my amp will be mounted underneath it with a fan to help keep it cool. to the left there will be two hinges and a 33"x5 1/2" door. Im making the legs on the left and the one to the left of the amp extend out 3/4" so It will close down flush and ill get a latch or something so I can lock it. This will be for storage of tow strap, gortex and anything else I do not wish to be out in the open.

before it goes in though. I will be ripping the carpet out of the bed. then lining it with bedliner. probably the cheapest I can find. I am debating about covering the false floor with carpet or sanding on it and covering it with bedliner. If I go carpet which is a doubtful I will be using the carpet out of the bed. Unless I can get scrap carpet that matches the tan good. When I decide on the covering and get it on that is when I will mount my amp to the bottom. To the top I will mount the 4 L brackets I had made.

that is the plan. That is what those L brackets are for. one on each side of two cans. then at least for now a bungee cord through the top of it to hold it down. Which the L brackets will mount directly to the top of that false floor im building

i made myself a 12 volt power source to test my window motor. well it still doesnt work so i have come to the conclusion the motor is bad. so time to start searching for a motor.

when i was in there i noticed this

looks like the previous owner already changed the motor once. Im thinking the motor just was one of the el cheapo kind and after awhile just burnt up. But it will make my life easier to change it since it knocked out the drilling the door for it

That sucks. I broke my pinion last month, I bought a third member for $100 wich the guy said it had 4.10s and a spool but when I got it home I checked it and it had 2.75 gears (I know, I should of checked before I bought it) Then I bought a 9" axle wich had the stock 3.50 gears for $100, put the spool in that and put it in my truck. If you want some 2.75 Ill give you some for free.

allcruisen - how many miles on your e4od? i had 76K when it dumped on me in tennessee (when i had to drive 1000 miles home stuck in second gear). if you want some advice on the rebuild, i just went thru it, with some major upgrades, lemme know if i can help you out. sorry to hear about it tho, it is gonna set you back a few dollars, that's for shizzle.

Haha.. yeah, just put a plastic Glad bag (lawn trimming size) over the seat and you are good to go. The hill didn't seem that steep when on it. It was killer though.. Another FSBer was there, Blanco Bronco and he took the hill as well. It was a good ol' time... The front is a little light though, hmmm, guess it is about time for the winch bumper and winch up front.. hehehhe.. Be a little more weight then.. :thumbup

ran into a little "problem" with the front arm of the slider and the radius arm mount (i should have given dustin my measurements for my lift BEFORE hand, oops!)

first, you lay out your parts...

the synthetic winch rope which will be replacing the dangerous steel cable...(the monkey is there for display purposes only and does not come with the actual rope)

Just curious jackhart, but why is the front bumper mounted so low?

davids78 fabbed it for me, he didn't have a '96 to work off of, and he was copying (per my wish) one of the arb designs. i guess it was just off a little bit on the height (it also stuck out about another 4 inches before i cut holes into it and sucked it back into the body over the frame horns), nothing i could really do to modify it or raise it without major chopping. :shrug

I want to see some "OH SHIT!!!" pics. :thumbup

OK. I wish I had more pics of Nate's truck. I ended up voting for Jackhart. I like the color, the MTRs, the bumpers (although I do think you should spend the time to raise the front one some) and I think your money is being spent in the right places. I'm pure Utility and Jackhart has done good in that dept. That and I chuckle to think of him driving his beast covered in mud dowtown NYC. :thumbup. My hat's of to you SRATEX. I think you wanted this the most but I'm with Pepe on this one. There's a few more things you need to do to be Centerfold worthy. Although I'm probably mistaken looking at the votes you've received. Sell the stereo and put some 33's, gears, lockers, and some beefy bumpers on there and you'll have my vote definately. Good fight guys. :thumbup
