I know some of you are having problems logging in and posting or even registering, it is a bug in the phpbb board and i'm working to fix it, I just changed some of the code that may help, so let me know if it's any different ???

I've hit this on occasion, but usually logging out and back in takes care of it. Keep up the great work DSOT-Joe!

I had a few problems when I first registered but it has been fine lately. I have no problems disconnecting then coming back on automatically. Thanks for you hard work guys.

i do it each time anyway so when people started talking about logging in each time i thought they were silly, its just a habit i'm in that doesnt bother me, however the phpbb has "added" security measures that some boards dont, like XMB and Ikonboard, one of them being sessions, the board validates each visitors IP address and tracks how long a prson is there and will actually log you out after a period of inactivity, other wise there are ways for hackers to do damage to a board if they want, if they really wanted to they would anyway i'm sure but this makes it harder, anyway, the people at phpbb.com added tighter security measures in this version of the board 2.0.4 and have realized it is causing alot of problems, they are already working on the next version that should address these problems, anyway a bunch of technical bla bla bla, i'm going to try and stick it out with phpbb, its a pain to move to another board and it's undoubtedly the best "free" board out there, invision powerboard is also a good one

ehh, I'm still having to log in each time I come back....but I'm also noticing that Yahoo is showing me as guest in several groups I'm in too - despite me already being signed in. yet, every other board I'm in, still has me logged in. So, is this something we should expect from FSB now?....having to log in each visit? It won't matter to me, as long as I know this is something I should expect to do

Dave, it's working fine for me... maybe there are some settings on your local PC that need to be tweaked?
Using IE? Try lowering your security settings or something. ;)

I had that problem for the first couple of days, but everything is okay now. The only problems I've had in the last couple of days is losing the connection to the site and not being able to get it back for awhile.
IE: "Website Not Found" when trying to get back on. I don't know if the site has been going down for a little bit or what.

I haven't changed a thing on my computer. I thought it might have had something to do with my cookies, but like I said, every other board I'm on recognizes me just fine, and both cookie settings are Enabled

Ehh!

Ehh!

Not worried about the cookies, more likely security or site refresh settings. Different boards act different ways and handle security, cookies, etc. a bit differently.
I'm really liking many of the features of this board, but I'm behind a company firewall, so all my IE settings are wide open.
May not even be close, but just trying to throw out a few ideas to help. :???:

I found out why it kept happening to me. Everytime I go to the main page and come back into the forums, it get's all screwed up. I usually have to clear my history and cache and reboot then everything is fine
