BikerPepe` 12-08-2004, 06:38 PM Generally I'd give the vote to the harest workin' PIMP on the site... but this month there have been "other" actions by members and contestants that have swayed my vote... luckily the best competition against these influences, is also one hell of a guy with a rig I respect on many different levels.
Sorry to everyone else... but there's only 1 vote to give and mine went to Chris85XLT!
GO GET 'EM CHRIS! :rockon

godless 12-10-2004, 04:02 AM Damn, I cant believe Ihave as many votes as I do.
I appreciate it but Jopes, Chris's, TNT's, and Jackharts all deserve more IMO.
Nothing against the others, but I have some respect for those people and their rigs.
You cant deny the time, money, and heart Don has put into his rig. I mean how many people can say they have swapped two Broncos into 1 mean crawlign machine?
The guy has his rig rolled, and instead of just tubing it, he buys a burnt down prerunner, strips the rolled Bko, and build the PISS out of the pre-runner and turns it into a rock hungry raped ape?
Dont even get me started on his engine build.
Chris. The guy bullt his SAS like it came from teh factory that way. When his SAS was posted, I can remember how many guys ran back to the drawing board and re-did their trck bar mount. No dis-respect to the other guys, but that just goes to show how well Chris did.
TNT, Still rolls a TTB, and his rig is beautiful. Gotta luv the sliders, the bumpers, and the fact that he has the balls to run 37" meats, fully locked, on a TTB.
Jackhart. Has done a lot of things in a very little time. I blinked and he had dual batteries, multiple PIAA's, lift, MTR's, Aussie, etc. He didnt waste any time.
BUT, the front bumper needs work bro. It needs to come up and sit more flush with the headlights. That is the only minor thing I dont find appealing about your rig bud.
BUT, shit you can find a ton of garbage on my rig that has problems so join the crowd BEYOTCH!
I gain nothing by sticking my toungue deep in the assholes of these fine men. I just know good work when I see it, and I have to tip my hat to them.

jackhart 12-11-2004, 05:25 PM a few of reptillikus and me taken from the trip to "wheelin in the country" in summerville, tennessee this summer to visit the dixie chapter. this, as many of you know already, was a 1000 mile trip each way from nyc. i drove to nj where reptillikus and i made the rest of the trip together. we went for only four days. it was a hoot until the tranny gave up the ghost on sunday with a 1000 mile ride back home at 45 mph. basically i cooked third and fourth gear. it was really hot and sticky down there. i rebuilt the tranny with a shift kit and tranny cooler, as well as a few other goodies to make the ol e4od a little more reliable.

jackhart 12-11-2004, 08:45 PM here are dustin's sliders getting installed...the rig before i started (you wanna see clean? not a scratch on her, looks like she just came from the showroom floor...)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/jackhart/bds%20lift/IMG_0208.jpg
they were first painted with the recommended rustoleum hammer finish. then lined up for a test fit
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/jackhart/bds%20lift/slider1.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/jackhart/bds%20lift/driverside3.jpg
the problem was these were sort of in the way...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/jackhart/bds%20lift/IMG_0207.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/jackhart/bds%20lift/slider3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/jackhart/bds%20lift/slider2.jpg
the solution was to cut the arms off the front of each slider and move them forward approx. 4" to clear the radius arm mount. now they fit great and work even better. (yeah i know i gotta give you the new measurements dustin...)

BroncoLou 12-19-2004, 12:05 PM broncolou, nice pix. how you like that tmax winch?
well I don't know yet because I haven't had the chance to try it out yet :thumbup
Gub_Ni 12-19-2004, 06:58 PM Someone help me out here. I think we should have a pic and 3 lines of stats for each bronco. That woule make voting much easier. If that was on the first page I'd say that you would get alot more votes also.
That aside.... Somethings to help me figure out which is the toughest Bronco...
Who has a solid front axle?
Who has 8 lug axles
Who has a Dana 60 front?
Who has 36" or bigger tires?
Anyone locked front and rear?
Crazedatwork 12-20-2004, 01:17 PM TnT is locked F&R with 37s

You can't have a tough Bronco without all of that? :shrug
KillerRanger 12-20-2004, 01:38 PM Voted for chris.. mostly cuz his most closely resembles what I like to see.. and it's well done, while it doesn't look like he had an unlimited budget..
Burl Swift 12-20-2004, 01:49 PM Not everyone wants to vote for the "toughest" Bronco.
BTW - What happens when you vote for someone who withdraws from the contest? Can my vote be placed somewhere else?
BikerPepe` 12-20-2004, 02:09 PM BTW - What happens when you vote for someone who withdraws from the contest?
The answer to the questions you seek may be found in the RULES FOR FOTM (http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1884) grasshopper... :goodfinge
Any member that wishes to be removed from the contest (once it has started) will be allowed to do so, but all VOTES given to that nominee shall be forfeit and the nominee will be in-eligable the following month, so please... be considerate of your fellow members when considering dropping out of the contest.
jackhart 12-20-2004, 02:47 PM damn beerdude, wasted my vote!!! ah well, not like one vote is gonna make a difference in this contest.
btw, i am locked front and rear. i have a one ton rear (it just isn't on the truck yet) and a solid axle d44 (same story). :thumbup
BigNorm 12-20-2004, 02:48 PM You can't have a tough Bronco without all of that? :shrug
I would say it's possible to have it without all that. But alot of work is still required. I'd say Broncolou's work is an outstanding example of what I'm talking about. If I'd gone his route I'd still be wheeling instead of one stepping it piece at a time. I knew this is what I had to do to build a 1 ton Bronco but not being able to wheel is killing me. :cry

Hehe, thats the second time today I've been called grasshopper...for almost the same reason. I'm not very observant today. :brownbag
Ifin' I could cast another vote (since mine was lost on Jer) I would have voted for TnT.

its just a bunch of ideas put together into one picture. for now just planning to do the cage and some little things to the bumper here and there.
as for the front fender and stuff...thats for when that one unlucky day i accidently roll it or put it on its side because that kinda stuff can happen when u wheel.

You are doing a damned good job. That's why I keep mentioning it. You need 3 basic things to wheel #1 Ground clearance. Which is achieved through bigger tires. #2 Traction. Which is achieved by keeping all 4 tires on the ground and lockers. #3. Keeping a low center of gravity. The first 2 aren't for shiznit if you are on your lid. Anyway I'd like to know what your future mods might be. :thumbup
