Allcruisen {Pimp} {Planing a Pimp get together:)} :beer :beer :beer
Nathaniel 06-18-2003, 10:37 PM I'm goin even if I have to push the Bronco there;)
GearHead 06-18-2003, 10:52 PM i'm planning on it. trying my harderst to get the truck running by then.
Blaze 06-19-2003, 01:04 AM Me and jermil01 will be there, hell we've worked to hard not to show..;)
Spade 06-19-2003, 02:06 AM I am trying to work it out so I will be able to go that weekend. What kind of trails do you guys have in FL? As fas as I know FL is flat as a board:). We should make a run into the GA mountains sometime too!
I am hoping I will be able to go.

I'm with ya on that one!:thumbup After this 1st annual run we'll try to do 'em all over the south east, and north Ga. will have to be a stop...:beer
I'm origanaly from Paulding county...not way north Ga. but not far from it...I've done plenty of wheeling up that way!:D
jermil01 06-19-2003, 09:38 AM I'm already starting to get my stuff ready for this trip..And as far as doing some wheeling up in Georgia, y'all just say the word and I'll be there. I think this will be a good test because we'll be able to get a fairly decent idea of just how many people will come out.
Ogeechee 4x4 06-19-2003, 11:21 PM I'm doing an internship this summer--I'm trying to shuffle things around so that i can get off that fri and the next monday...
Also trying to get the bronco ready for the trip...need to track down a pesky coolant leak...see about those leveling coils....lots more "fun" stuff
I'm trying to make it y'all!
GearHead 06-19-2003, 11:37 PM i would love to have a ride up in GA.
florida is kinda flat. the forest has some, well for lack of a better word, hills. lots of sand, mud, fire breaks and access roads. many with wash outs and holes. if you look at some of the local heep club's websites, they show a lota rigs built to flex. must be something out there.
Drilim 06-20-2003, 06:43 PM Bah
I dont think i can make it. Im swamped at work, And with this boat being almost done after 2 years of construction, they are kinda anxious to get it off. If it wasnt for the fact that im broke, Id be all over it.:brownbag
Definately gonna try for the next time. Definately. I wish all in attendance the best :beer
CRASHNDENT 06-21-2003, 02:21 PM Gotta work. I'm Security force on base at NAS jacksonville so my schedule is pretty much set in stone. I'll try to make it for a GA trip though.
Ogeechee 4x4 06-21-2003, 09:05 PM has anyone checked on reservations for the campground?
Blaze 06-21-2003, 11:39 PM I'm meeting Jeremy down there tomorrow and we'll check all that stuff then (we'll prolly go ahead and make some reservations for camping) Just keep checking here. More details after this week-end!:beer

I'm 5 minutes from the Paulding County line.
The closer ya'll get to Marietta, the more likely it is that I'll be there. :p
Tellico is about 4 hours from me, then Beasely ORV (I've heard its all hard trails though) and Rich Mtn WMA. Those are the only places I know off the top of my head. I know some places to go wheelin', but they're not exactly "legal." Big Tower and Lucas Rd are the two big ones, power lines mostly.
jermil01 06-23-2003, 12:31 AM Blaze and I did some scouting today, you can see pics under the pic post forum..we found a really good camp site at Lake Delancy, costs 5 bucks a night, and they have facilities and everything here's a pic of what it looks like..Lake Delancy is off of 19 North of Salt Springs on the left hand side. once you get passed the visitor center in Salt Springs its only about another 4 miles down on your left. We figure this will be the best place to set up our base of operations..

This is a huge sand pit off by Rodman Dam, lots of side trails mud and sand.

Its on, the weekend of July 12th..I'm taking off Friday to go down and get situated. If you don't have a CB I'd get one, cell phones don't work too well down there. No need for reservations at the camp site, its first come first serve, but it wasn't too crowded today.
GearHead 06-23-2003, 10:58 PM cool, cool, cool.:thumbup
you have any more pics? wanna show the wife. shes gonna go.
Blaze 06-23-2003, 11:06 PM Look under chit-chat at trail ride pics.:thumbup

Yeah check out the pics man, the camp site is really nice..I'm sure with all the S**t we'll bring we won't be roughing it too badly..
Drilim 06-24-2003, 12:37 AM Wait a second...
I think im gonna be able to make it. Talked to the boss today, and he said as long as he has a weeks notice, a long weekend is more then cool with him.
Besides camping gear....Probably should start a list of what to bring...especially for the trucks.
-Straps
-Fluids
-Spare tire
-Do a twice over before leaving...Make sure everything is where you want it, and working as well as possible.
this is a 30 second list, and i know i forgot alot...But, You get the idea.
Hopefully ill be there.
Blaze 06-24-2003, 08:56 PM Yea we talked about what being brought on the FSB Dixie Chapter run thread....:beer
GearHead 06-24-2003, 11:55 PM hey guys, i'm wanting my buddy to ride with us. [so he can tow me home when my truck breaks] he's got a 98 f150 4x4 king cab short bed. zero lift, and street/at's for tires. is his truck gonna have any problems where we are planning on going? i know most the numbered roads any truck could go down in 2 wd. just wondering what you all had planned since you have been out there to see some of the areas.
jermil01 06-25-2003, 01:47 PM There will be some stuff that he won't be able to get to in his p/u, with the stock set up, but there is more than enough other stuff to make up for that. There's plenty of room down there too and people will be able to emplore if they want.
Blaze 06-25-2003, 09:17 PM Yea...what he said!:toothless Your buddie will easily be able to do the "sight seeing" trails and he can ride shotgun with someone on the others...:thumbup
GearHead 06-25-2003, 11:07 PM good deal guys. i told him about it last nite, he said he wanted to go. so what kinda head count are we looking at now?
Blaze 06-26-2003, 12:00 AM So far it seems like it's: Me, jermil01, Nathaniel, Ogeechee4x4, you, and possibly Spade. A couple of guys have talked about inviting friends but I can't remember exactly who and whether they'll be riding shotgun or bringing their own rigs. I myself have a bud that's coming but if he drives his Chebby or not is still up in the air...Sorry if I forgot someone...feel free to chime in...but it looks like 8 (+/-) :shrug Hoped it would be larger but hey we're still adding members daily, maybe some from the south (I told Smooth about us in introductions) it could still end up fairly large and either way....It'll be a blast!:thumbup
GearHead 06-26-2003, 12:12 AM hopefully AC will come up from down south, and bring the rest of the bunch from down there. if we had 8 rigs, i think that would be a great 1st run. i'm trying hard to get mine going. gonna put on the sky brackets tomorrow and hopefully get the tank and everything in the back of the truck back in. then off to the tranny shop then the tire store.
Drilim 06-26-2003, 12:23 AM Im 99% sure im gonna go. And i talked to a buddy of mine earlier tonight who has an 89 bronk who said he would be interested in going if he is able.
Blaze 06-26-2003, 12:36 AM Yea I think it'd be cool if Pimp daddy shows and brings some of them folks with him too. Maybe he'll be available (it's his thread after all so he had to be at least thinkin' 'bout it...*right, AC?*) Anyway with Drilim and possibly his buddy that'll put us close to 8!:thumbup AC and the bunch could possibly put us around 10 or so...:beer Damn, I can hardly wait!!!:toothless
GearHead 06-26-2003, 01:10 AM yeah this is coming together very nice.
jermil01 06-26-2003, 09:44 AM 8 Broncos for our first ride would outstanding. Hell I would have been happy with 5 or 6..But 8 would be great.:thumbup :thumbup
GearHead 07-02-2003, 12:04 AM hey guys i'm kinda in a bind. my truck is in pieces in my drive way, and the run is only a 1 1/2 weeks away. i'm starting to think its not gonna be ready.:cry
i have a few things on order, hopefully will be here by the weekend. shouldnt take me more than a day to get her all back together. but then i need to take her to the tranny shop. i think i stand a good chance of needing a tranny rebuild. so i doubt it that i will get it back in time to get new tires and get her on the road.
my old man said i could run his heep if i wanted. its bone stock. ya'll arnt gonna give me a good ol' fashion southern lynching for showing up at a ford event with a heep are ya?.:slap
i really want to go. i really really want to get my bronco there, but its more likly than not that shes not gonna be ready.
Blaze 07-02-2003, 12:27 AM I s'pose we can letcha slide this one time:twak Normaly friends don't let friends drive heeps! But hey at least it's cause the Bronc's getting tweeked!!!:thumbup
GearHead 07-02-2003, 09:01 AM thanks buddy, hopfully the hazing wont be too bad.:brownbag
Miketnf150 07-02-2003, 09:21 AM :lolup :lolup I will go ahead and start the hazing..... A trader already amoungst us!!!:goodfinge :slap :slap :toothless :toothless
jermil01 07-02-2003, 09:54 AM :toothless looky here, you show up in that thur heep and there ain't no tellin' what might happen to ya..:toothless Hey if the Bronco isn't done, bring the heep, we'll just black it out of any pics we take. Seriously though, if you need help putting anything together, let me know. I might be able to get down there this Sunday to help you out.:thumbup

That's what makes this place the greatest!
Blaze 07-02-2003, 01:54 PM Here, Here!:beer
GearHead 07-02-2003, 05:07 PM thanks buddy, i apreaciate the offer. i can get her all back togther, i think my hold up is gonna be with the tranny shop. if they can fix it in a day or two, i should be able to bring the bronco. tire shop should only take a few hours. tranny rebuild might take longer.
dsotmoon 07-02-2003, 07:02 PM heres something for you Dixie guys to think about, if someone is interested in taking picturs and doing a write up of the trip then Bronco Driver Magazine is interested...
I notice on your calendar that you will having an event this month,
Dixie Chapter run. The link has no info about it... where is it? How
many will be there? We may be able to show up and take pix/write up a
story. If not would you (or someone you know) consider doing the same?
And the offer stands for ANY of your events. Please send them to us.
We NEED and WANT more Big Bronco content. Big Bronco owners don't
send as much as we would like. Heck, I may email begging for a tech
story at deadline. I would, of course, give full credit to
Fullsizebronco.com and/or writer.
GearHead 07-02-2003, 09:00 PM i have a dig camera. i was planning on bringing it.
i'll take lots of pics of everyones truck, them wheeling, the surrounding area. etc. i'll probably post the pics on superford. i can also e-mail them to whoever needs or wants them, unless anyone has any objections.
Blaze 07-02-2003, 11:20 PM Holy shit! That rocks!:rockon
Yea, tell them they are more than welcome to come. It's gonna be in the northern area of the Ocala national forest. If they're interested in sending someone, we'll get them directions right to the campsite. Me and Jeremy are gonna get down early Fri. so we can give them enough info to do a big write up. (Our site, our members, and Dixie chapters first run!) They'd also be more than welcome to "bunk" with one of us and even ride shotgun on the rides. (I know they're not a huge mag and like us trying to get recoginition) If they're not able to do so, I'll get a bunch of pics from everyone (cause we'll all be takin') and I'll try doing a write up...Nothing but time on my hands when I get back from the run!:beer
jermil01 07-03-2003, 09:41 AM This is way cool, so far for head count I have Myself, Blaze, Nathaniel..still waiting on confirmation from others, but it would be sweet to get a decent turn out for this article..I'll be bringing my digital camera too, so we will have plenty of pics..:beer :beer
Nathaniel 07-03-2003, 10:08 AM I will definetly bringing my Digi and prolly my film too, bc there are soome shots you can get with a film that you can't with a digi
GearHead 07-03-2003, 07:10 PM Nothing but time on my hands when I get back from the run!
lucky guy.
i'll do what i can for that mag too. good for them, good for us.
