I was sitting in the drive through today, listening to some music, and playing with my debit card in my left hand, tapping it to the sound of 106.7 kbpi. Right as I pull up to the window to pay, the card slips out of my fingers and down into the door. Fell in where the window comes out. The guy laughed at me, and I told him I didn't have any other money, but I would run to the bank to pay him. He ended up just giving me my meal for free. I still have to get the card out, but I think it would be easier just to apply for a replacement.:brownbag

Yup yup, not the atm debit cards, but the visa debit cards. Works like a visa but takes from your atm. Only mc'ds and bk does it, have done it for about a year now here in colorado.

They tried that for about a year in Fla about 10-12 yrs ago...although nowadays alot more people use plastic, so maybe it'll make a comeback! I mean I know people who will go to Subway just cause they take plastic....

You should be able to get the card back by removing the door panel & lifting the plastic sheeting that seals the airflow. I'll bet it's just laying in the bottom of the door.

On another note, it is kind of nice being able to use your plastic at the drive thru. I just wish they would install the swipe reader outside so you don't have to give them your card.

I can see you leaving your card in there and then selling the truck and forgeting about it. Until the new owner spends all your money on his new truck parts with your credit card.:banghead :banghead :banghead

None of our fast food places do it either, so now the question is...

How do i drop money down my door?

(and easily get it out)

Good story

I don't know if any of you remember, but about 8 or so years ago in Hampton Roads, there was a brief stint where McDonald's Delivered. And they had buckets-o-fries and buckets-o-nuggets. I loved it! Didn't last long though! They are taking some plastic here. It's taking tome to spread, but for all who don't know, checks are going to be obsolete very soon. I remember in college one of my classes took a tour through a check manufacturing company and at the end that handed out apps for us to apply when we graduated. HA! Not a chance. Does Job security mean anything? I would imagine cash will be around for a while, but eventually it will go as well. Plastic just makes it easier.
