Queen of the Forest 01-13-2005, 07:31 AM I am completely SHOCKED! They need to take bronco privliages away from that driver. :twak :slap
BTW. I did see one night on America's Worst Drivers, a guy did something bad, took off in a bronco, led a long high speed chase, ended up blowing ALL 4 tires and that old horse he was driving kept going and going on just rims, sparks flying everywhere, but she kept going, never missed a beat, until they surrounded him and he couldn't go any further. I was in AWW with what these bronco's can do.

Marauder 01-14-2005, 02:24 AM Did you make that spike bracket yourself? Those would be awesome to have on my boots. We had snow before christmas then the temps shot up to the 50's but they are dropping down this weekend. I know the ice is comming.
axaviere 01-14-2005, 03:09 AM SF is slow. i will add a few more later. ok the spikes are available at a camping place here. $7 -vs- busting my ass... good bargain huh? ok, the snow is snowy looking, but its solid ice. even the grass is icy. the spikes are great. i wear them anytime i go outside lately. even into stores.
Gacknar 01-14-2005, 09:31 AM if thats the case, why am i not swapping a TTB under my 79? :goodfingeSame reason Im not gonna put a D40 SAS under my 86, becaouse the D60 is the way to go. :goodfinge :toothless
axaviere 01-14-2005, 11:18 AM just seems with all the $$ involved in a SAS, you could buy a 78-9 and start there, that way you could keep the TTB as is and cruise the mall with the heeps

Bsides, If I bout a 78-79, Id have to spend mony putting EFI on it, and probaly more repairing/installing air-conditioning, power windows, power door locks, tilt, cruse, and an overdrive transmission :toothless :histerica :thumbup
axaviere 01-14-2005, 11:27 AM lol, i hear ya man. i hate mall here. not that its a bad mall, they just dont have anything there that i am interested in...well there are the slutty girls i hear about strolling around. but thats not even enough of a lure to get me in there
Gacknar 01-14-2005, 11:28 AM there are the slutty girls i hear about strolling around. but thats not even enough of a lure to get me in thereYou have to be carefull about those, alot of times they are WAY younger than thy look
Oh and I edited my post above, please re read. :toothless

if you had a 78-9, you could have all that stuff in your 80+ and strip the 79 down to bare essentials. a/c? toppless & windows down. power windows? are your arms broke? door locks, whats to steal? cruise, thats what your foots for, besides with a 460, you wont be going on any long trips. and as far as over drive, yes. you can drive over almost anything :histerica
oh, if they are old enough to go to the store, they are old enough to get bred...
if there is grass on the field, play ball. if not, flip her and play in the mud...
i know there are a few more, thats all i can think of. but in KS, 16 is consent i heard. i am just not willing to test that theory

Here in Ohio when it snowed, there was a camera crew on my main street, i saw my chance and jumped on it. Mashed the gas pedal to the floor the dual exhaust screamed i was throwing snow everywhere, and then they yelled at me. I didn't even get to see it on the news

Should have waited until they were near the curb in front of a huge wet puddle. Sneak up quietly like you're not going to do it, then nail the gas wide open a really put the wave on them. The wide open throttle just adds to the panic.
Sucked in a couple of bus riders years ago in my daily Mopar. They were standing outside the bus shelter eyeing me nervously as I approached a huge puddle right in front of them.
I made eye contact and graciously changed lanes into the fast lane like I was trying to avoid the puddle, all the while gently gaining speed. This seemed to placate the slack jaws, who stayed where they were outside the bus shelter(trusting fools).
When I was almost level with the puddle but still in the fast lane I mashed the Thermoquad (4bbl) wide open and swapped lanes into the slow lane entering the puddle at serious speed.
The guys were going for the shelter with their feet going over their heads with everything they had and terror on their mugs. Unfortunately they were no match for the Thermoquad and I blew by as close to the curb as I could sending the maximum 6 or 7 foot wave I could right over them.
Not only did the wave cover them like habour rats, but the car was nearly floating on the water and damned if the engine didn't start faltering like it was gonna stall !!!!!!!
I cut out of the puddle for the fast lane feathering the accelerator all the way (picturing a rush of water up the air cleaner housing hose) praying for a miracle I sure didn't deserve after that stunt.
She caught hard, I mashed the throttle nearly going completely sideways, correcting as I went but unwilling to let off the pedal and split the "F" on outta there !
I just don't get too much more exciting than that !
Think I was laughing that evil laugh all day.

Bronco Rob 01-19-2005, 12:12 AM The rear tires on this thing throw a 4 to 6 foot rooster tail of snow when i mash it. The 32's stick out past the edge of the fender, sometimes i will have the vent window open and the fronts throw snow into the cab.
I can't wait to get the 4x4 fixed on it so that i can throw snow really bad with all four tires! :goodfinge
