as most of you know we have experienced some downtime and problems lately, this is largely due to our growth as a site, our VPS (virtual dedicated server) could no longer handle our traffic.

what does this mean? we have now moved to our own dedicated server, basically FSB is now hosted on its own computer with its own bandwidth, we are no longer "sharing" disk space, memory, bandwidth, etc with othr sites

and what does that mean? $$$$$$$$$ it now costs us aout 130.00 per month to host FSB, this allows us to grow and to add things not available to us before, it also means we will look to our members for more donations to help keep the site going, $1, $5, $10, $100 or more if available but it will never be required, just appreciated

just some specs to enjoy...

old "server" was a "virtual" server hosting up to 16 other customers like us with the potential of 100's of sites on it with us only having 12GB of space, 512MB of memory and around 250Mhz of cpu

now we have...

our very own server, no other customers on it but us...

an AMD processor at 2.1 Ghz & 512Kb cache
1 - 80 GB hard drive (main)
1 - 40 GB hard drive (back up)
1 GB of RAM
1000GB of transfer per month (we use about 50GB)
and more...
