Welcome! But whats with the name :shrug :brownbag :twak

I have mostly Chevy trucks, but I plan to swap in some Ford parts, so I need to hang out here for a while and learn some stuff. I have a '72 C10 that I want to use a coil spring D44 and a 9" under along with a divorced 205. I have a K20 that's going to get a FI 5.0 HO from a Mustang. I also have a '93 Explorer that needs a SAS with full size stuff. Anyway, I hope to learn a lot here!

A few things to know:
1. Make sure to vote for FOTM each month by going to the FOTM thread and picking your fav. nominee! (10 new nominees each month, and someday it could be you!)
2. Be sure to vote for this site at TOP4x4 by clicking the link at the top of the page once a day, when you get to the TOP4x4 page, click the “vote for the site I just left” banner. (It brings us in alot of new traffic!) It also lets those “other” wheelers know what rig rules the land! :rockon
3. Post up some pics of your rig!
(click here—>click me, click me!! (http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6204) to find out how!)
4. Add your rig's specs (or a pic) to your sig line. (It comes in handy, when asking questions, for people to know what kinda rig their helping you with!)
5. Before asking a handful of questions please try the search button at the top right hand corner of the page.
This site has been around long enough that ALOT of topics have already been discussed and now all you gotta do is read.

Thats weird. Someone actually swapping a Ford engine in a Chevy instead of the other way around.

Ya, I'm really thinking "outside of the box" on this one! I really like the 5.0 HO because they run great stock, there are many easy performance upgrades for it, and they can take quite a bit of abuse. What's not to like about that? :) Another cool thing about this forum is the fine selection of smilies, some of them are hilarious!

I want to see this 5.0 swap. That Chevy didn't have a 305(gernade) did it?

Nope. It has a worn out rod knockin' no oil pressure 350. I've been runnin' close to a year now with no oil pressure, but it's days are numbered. It's just a weekend warrior for now. I'll post pics if/when the swap is done.

Welcome, don't let these guys tease you about your name. Hell, I love Chevy's. I've pulled them out of some STUPID stucks, tipped them back over and even driven over them to test the articulation out. What's not to love. J/K. I used to build up the 74-76 Chevy/GMC Blazers w/the full convertibles from the windshields back. Loved those. Can't wait to see your swap.
