I have ground off all 6 rivets on the TTB coil towers and these fawkers are still not coming off. ANy tricks to persuade them to come off?

Also, where can I get 78/79 new coil towers? Ford dealer said they didn't have them. I can't find them at LMC truck or JBG either.

pull down. use a big screwdriver to pry them off,. push the rivets through, keep grinding, cuss at it, etc.

That sounds right, cuss, beat, grind, air chisel-if availble......

As far as where to find them, do they have to be new, go to the local junk yard. They are sure have a coulpe sets that aren't being used.

That was the biggest b*tch about my sas. Oh yeah the bracket that holds the pass. side axle half to te engine crossmember is fun too. I used a punch, grinder, bfh and like 5 big screwdrivers that are now broken to get mine off.

Nice pic BTW.

just to let everyone know, (you probably all ready do) but one of the two rivets on the bottom of the frame holding the TTB coil towers on, also holds the crossmember to the frame, and it would be a good idea to put a bolt in there after you get the rivet out.

I jsut used a G8 1/2in bolt, washer, and nut.
