Some of you aren't familier with my bronk so heres a short list of mods

79 bronk with a 460 under the hood, 42" grooved tsl's on some home made beadlocks, 95 dana 60 front with a ARB and some 5.13's. Front suspension is leaf sprung with ford 57" leafs. Rear is a shaved and welded up 14 bolt with some 5.13 in the mix. Custom rock sliders, home built bumper and winch mount blah blah blah blah........

Anywho I guess I can toss up a few pics, You have the idea of how the rig is set up.

these are from the alapaha river bed near the Fla/Ga border. super soft quartz sand. once you start spinning, you just keep digging.

nah, nothin to do with titan. flea jones is some guy in jacksonville who reman's ford blocks. back before i knew anything about the bronco, we (my dad and i) got tricked into thinking we were getting a "racing" block. all we ended up getting was a reman'd short block

You live in Utah Destroyer so we have similar terrain types. I'm not against mud. I love it as much as the next wheeler. High rpms and the sound of thuddin mud on the hood. Theres nothing like it. I just don't see the point of burrying your rig up past the hood. If you like we can start your truck and I can pour water down your intake with a garden hose. The results are the same and clean up will be alot easier. :goodfinge

this was not a good weekend for my FOTM chances. dad ran off with the digital camera to tampa, so i couldnt get any bikini shots of my girlfriend on the hood. and it sucks because she had some killer outfits. also, nobody in ocala seems to carry the inner axle seal which happened to go bad last week. so right now the rig is down to the knuckles with no passenger side seal. no wheeling for right now, till i get that piece. i'll try to whore some more pics though

well, i just got back from playing with the local rover group. i finally discovered just how much flex i can possibly get before something breaks. i managed to STRAIGHTEN the upper spring retainer on the driver side and max out a shock that has around 14" of travel. as soon as the pics get emailed to me, you will see. oh, and i did it in 2wd, defiant of a axle seal that refused to seat :rockon

. . . actually, the retainer thing is something I'm suprised don't happen more. How did you get it out of there?

actually, it wasnt a design flaw at all. the springs were stiff enough, i guess, to put enough pulling force on the retainer that it gave. all i had to do to fix it was re-seat the spring, apply some heat via propane torch, and bend it back into shape. also note, the body didnt change orientation at all when the retainer let go. thats exactly as much flex as 2wd would allow

Would you believe that I just got done repairing that exact same f-up on my truck not 5 minutes ago? Shouldn't happen again though, I ditched that crappy bracket & sawed a hole in the bumper to mount it this time so it doesn't hang down any more.

For trailer wiring. That was the first thing I messed up. I bent mine up 90*. After my first wheeling trip it got completely filled with mud. Good thing I dont tow anything.

That was right after I got up an obstacle called "Daniel" at Uwharrie and I hopped out and I slammed my door on to my finger. Since I was on a slight angle it was Entire weight of the door + Gravity + Momentum (from me pushing it shut). So after I did that I thought, damn, atleast no pain :wacko . 3 seconds elapse and I am trying to hold my finger and walking around in circles holding my finger while it drips blood all over my shorts and shirt. One of Johnski's friends came over and grabbed a rag and duct tape out of the back of my truck. and he wrapped it up while I applied pressure. Wouldnt have been so bad if I didnt have to apply pressure to it. So yeah, thats a makeshift bandage made out of a rag and duct tape on the trail. It bled the whole day because I checked it that night and it still wanted to trickle blood. I couldnt move my finger for a week. I learned how to type without it. Then it was hard to re-teach myself how to type with it :toothless

howd you get the dents marauder?

First set was from when a girl backed into me in a parking lot. Tore up the whole side of my bronco and bent my bumper. Caused 2 grand of damage and she never paid a dime. Damn bitch. :lowblow

The second set was from Uwharrie. I went through a mud trench and I got a little lead footed and I smashed up agaisnt the trench a couple times. It was a wild ride. Johnski can attest, he was behind me, watching. The drivers side dent/scratch is from who knows what? Something else got me at Uwharrie and did that. Its a big dent, its atleast the size of a fist. You can see how big it really is in one of my earlier pictures, with the snow and the mountians in the background. I am guessing my front bumper got tilted from the mud trench as well :shrug
