Alright...within the next couple weeks im goin to be doin a Solid Axle Swap onto my 87 and ditchin the IFS nonsense..My questions are these...

1. I also want to do my lift on the truck at the same time....what is the least amount of lift i need to clear the Oil Pan Xmember?
2.Since im ordering my lift parts seperately, if i want to do a 6inch lift, what size front coils and rear leafs do i need?
3. Will 79 stock radius arms be fine for now or should i use something else?
4. For the front brake system, what can and cant use and what will be needed to set it up efficently?

1. you need at least 6"

2. 6" springs front and rear if you want it to sit level...I have a set of 79 superlift 6" lift springs forsale if you need them.

3. they will be fine, Im running the stock 79 arms and brackets with no problems

4. run the stock 79 brake stuff

1-6" (I agree)

2-Different springs settle in different ways, depending on, you might need another leaf or a different wedge to keep you level.

3-I'm running the stock arms and have had no problems either.

4-I used the ProComp braided, extended lines for an IFS lift with the 79' brakes. There's less manufacturing to do with them. Going from 2 (80's+) lines to 1 (pre 80's). They also help pedal feel.
