got some new ones from yesterday..beautiful day out, 68 or so, gonna have the top off till at least sunday

Dont have any action this time due to it only being my vehicle out there

couldnt flex the front much..on this due to the angle i had to hit the hill

http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/182998/fullsize/DSCN1608.jpg (http://www.supermotors.org/registry/vehicles/showmedia.php?id=182998&original=1)

http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/183007/fullsize/DSCN1615.jpg (http://www.supermotors.org/registry/vehicles/showmedia.php?id=183007&original=1)

the tub, my stock rims with big backspacing make it rub bad into the tub on flex..i'm sure it'll flex alot better with wider rims and less BS

I'll post more later :thumbup

edit:managed to wiggle my exhaust a little looser on this outing, and now i have a custom "cats only" exhaust, sure does sound sweet :toothless

front 4" cepek with 37's, need to trim back the panel a little bit still for astetics, it wont ever hit whats not trimmed though

i did/helped with all of the welding/bending/fabricating...my first project on the bender was my sliders, gave it a whirl and they turned out great

http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/156203/fullsize/DSCN0713.jpg (http://www.supermotors.org/registry/vehicles/showmedia.php?id=156203&original=1)

we also welded a 2x4 3/16th wall square tube in the body channel underneath the door area, where you can screw in small steps and the like, and welded my sliders to those as well, if they get pushed up at all, which they dont move AT ALL, they wont damage the door at all

All the tube you see on the vehicle is 1.75x .120 wall, all the 2x4's are 1/4 wall except under the door, and all the mounts are 1/4 flat stock

Crawler, you should be damn proud of yourself for what you accomplished at your age. I am HIGHLY impressed.

Definitely a sweet ride and something to be proud of, because you did it yourself!

:stupid

EVERY rig is bitchin' but my vote went to Crawler, what an awesome rig you have built!

This is just a tough month to vote on. I wanted to vote for Nameless as I just love Superwoman, also was going to go with Crawler as I really like a truck that is built. Then theirs blaze, as that was going to be a sympathy vote, because that color is just hidious (to me) J/K. I went w/dogonmut again, win this time will ya. He's just done awesome things to his ride and he uses it. That's why he got my vote, because he uses his shiat hard. Actually I just took my mouse and swirled it around for 3 seconds with my eyes shut and when I opened them up my mouse found it's way to dogonmut. Only way to vote this month. Too many nice rides. Good luck to all.

Dogonmut's evolution bought my vote.

03-11-2005, 01:15 PM
Do you feel the front leafs are more reliable?
In a word...YES! With the initial set up of the springs I limited it to 10" of travel but now that I've clearanced my front T case yoke and added a 4 degree shim to the leaf pack I'm easily getting 12 - 13 inches of travel. I need to run up and RTI ramp again to get actual numbers though but it does flex like a big dog. On top of that it's built to handle major abuse. The 4 link was cool but I just couldn't get it to work right and the end result was a 10 plus hour extraction from the Hells Revenge trail in Moab.

Thanks for the votes.

The shifter I have is a B&M Z-gate, and I have suspension bucket seats.

Crawler, you should be damn proud of yourself for what you accomplished at your age. I am HIGHLY impressed.

Definitely a sweet ride and something to be proud of, because you did it yourself!

Was tough, but I had to vote for Crawler. Wish I had a badass truck like that at your age. At my age right now even! :toothless

Hey guys I am really impressed with the work that Crawler has done , thats why my vote went to him .
:rockon :rockon

I know my bronco isn't what most of the guys here are into . I have no problem with getting it dirty , but I am very limited to where I can go . There really is nowhere to go around here , beside the problem that I work 6-75 hours per week . I am getting a beach pass this year for the truck , not much mud on the beach but atleast some mild wheeling for this summer .

I am actually having some problems with the truck right now soit has been parked this week , no time to really dig in and figure it out . :cry

BTW Those are some awsome pics Crawler :thumbup

Slim - did you make it all the way thru this? I was there last summer and saw a few highly modified bad ass rigs barely make it. It's ten times harder than this picture shows.

Some very awesome rides. I already voted (dogonmut), hell whoever doesn't win this month can always win next month. This one's going to be good at the end. Crawler keeps pimping his. He's done a heck of a lot of upgrades and done some serious fab work. I wish my dad would have taught me how to do that stuff when I was young. Heck I wish I could do that stuff now so I could teach my son, well he's lazy and doesn't really care for the car stuff yet, he's still into motorcycles and playstation crap. Do you need a big brother, maybe your dad could teach me how to modify my ride like that. Looks great. I really like the door bars (reinforcement). Nice work. Now vote for DOGONMUT, he's been here longer and took longer to get his done. Crawler, which desert are you going to? You can still come out to the M&G even if you don't want to wheel in the am, you can still make the BBQ in the PM.

i wish i could get out there this weekend, but gas is just a bit much. besides, my tires are almost crap. have fun out there in buttercup. if you find an oil drum melted into the sand a bit out there that looks like a mushroom, it was one of my gas bombs from new years. its about 300 yards south of competition hill..

I polished the end of the tube

I'm torn.

I love Boggers but they have poor lateral stability...unless you grove them. They are tuff as hell and I have never popped, ripped or cut one. The TSL SX's are great as well. They are very sticky and have really tuff side walls as well. I have yet to loose one of them eigther.

Those are my 2 favorites. I plan to get another set of Boggers (15/38 x ?) as soon as money allows. As far as "off road" tires go, you can't really go wrong with eigther.

My .02.
