Had some fun yesterday. I started here in Telluride and went over Imogene pass to Ouray. There were a ton of Jeeps up there so the trip went slow. Also had to stop to help out a 4Runner with a flat. Allways go prepared people. This guy didn't even have the right socket or tire iron for his wheels. I started up Black Bear from hwy 550 around 7:00 P.M. I got to the stair steps around 7:45. It would have been a sweet place to watch the fireworks but it was another 2hrs before they started so I just went down. The stair steps were not as bad as I had heard. I was ready for to do a balancing act on two wheels with a huge drop but it was nothing like that. It is steep and the switchbacks are the tightest I have ever seen but it is very doable. Got back to town at 8:30 and enjoyed a great fireworks display from my deck.
Here are some pics.

Yeah. I can't get anyone to come here because it is so far from everywhere and I don't know anyone locally who is into it. There are almost always jeeps up there so I am not worried. Although I was the only one around coming over and down Black Bear.

I may and may not be able to make it down there this year but when I do I will let you know. Black bear kicks a$s. They do run it backwards one day a year from what ive heard. that would be real fun. Here is how steep it is
