It looks like mine, but I used ball chain by the throttle body so it will drop out of the way when the normal throttle is used.

I did not use the shifter (just did not like the look) i used a BMX bike brake as mine, super simple, just buy (or beat up some 13 year old kid and take his) the brake, and a cable and run it

the thing about the friction shifter is you can set the throttle and it will stay there, But I like the idea of the BMX brake handle. I've thought along those lines to but wanted to be able to set the throttle at a desired RPM ... maybe a small machine screww added to the handle in place of the pivot pin to increase the clamping force in order to hold throttle position? HAHA! off to the shop I go. :thumbup

rockfrog the brake handles have a locking mechanism on them to lock the brakes down
the only thing with that is they have to be locked fully pulled (i think :shrug )

I just rigged me up one this weekend using the brake cable and lever...I had the bike shop cut the vinyl tubing and cable to the right length and it droped right in.....total cost was 10.00. Hav'nt trail tested it yet but it seems to work good......Fog
