I could drink that 1200 in 16 days all by myself ;) MatthewC 04-15-2005, 12:30 PM First of all, it depends where your going. East coast where I am is relatively cheap, whereas Ontario, Alberta, and BC is relatively expensive. Then, $1200 american works out to nearly $1500 Canadian. For 16 days thats pretty good. Then again it all depends on how spendy you are. But all in all, I think your looking pretty good. -Matt mprules 04-15-2005, 02:12 PM i was thinkin of 1200 canadian dollers as im from the uk thats 500 pounds where as 1500 canadian dollers would be 650. im going to toronto for 4 days then calgary edmonton banff and jasper (in calgary for the stampeade) how much does a pint cost? Broncoman95 04-15-2005, 08:29 PM how much does a pint cost? Looking out for the important stuff eh? Avg. $4-$5 depending where you go. Cheap as $2 to $7, depend how fancy or what specials the place has. Id figure $100/day for food/drink plus whatever expenses. Car rentals, admiss. fees, etc. Damager 04-15-2005, 09:46 PM work happy hours and 2 for 1's :thumbup Terrible T 04-19-2005, 02:43 PM not enough i am from saskatchewan and i wouldnt go to all those places with that much coin how are you getting to these places warping or what mprules 04-21-2005, 12:31 PM travel accomodation some meals are included its a rugby tour so we have alrerady paid 3450 dollers we just have to pay for non essentiuls such as beer plus lunch and some dinners bossind 04-22-2005, 12:02 AM Well if you were coming this way we'd show you good down home maritime kitchen party! Perhaps someone in Toronto can hook you up. Sixlitre 05-22-2005, 05:10 PM A British lush, like you on a budget !?!?! Seriously you're in for a surpise as our pints are missing 8 ounces of beer, being on 12 ounces instead of 20 oz. Banff and Jasper are NOT cheap at all. Toronto shouldn't be to bad as they're still recovering from SARS in their tourist industry. Edmonton isn't too bad. Are you driving while over ? Think about paying $35 now for a CAA membership. Not only do you get free towing but they help you plan your vacation, supplying maps and rating books on hotels and restaurants, attractions, car rentals, discounts, etc. Sixlitre origin 06-01-2005, 01:04 AM I am an Edmontonian, and it's not expensive here, cheaper than BC and Ontairo and yes, be prepared to spend $$$$ in Banff and Jasper, they are tourist meccas.... and like to gouge......... |
