I'm up for a meet...I'm down here in Houston. I've been told about a couple of off-road spots but haven't been able to check them out yet since the move.

My time is pretty well managed now that I'm on active duty but if we can meet somewhere north, I'm probably game. Are you thinking around Denison?

I'm sure there's better places to off road in texas that I know of, I haven't lived here too long... Any suggestions?

The only place I have been in Tx is a corps of engineers road down to patman lake. I got suckered into leading a group down this road that was 3/4 underwater and on 2 occasions dropped my 44's completely under water. With all the water there was no way to tell how deep the holes were. I ended up with some water in my oil so I know I have some waterproofing to do before I even think about that kind of trail again.

I know there is an ORV park somewhere around Arlington but most of the pics I have seen have shown alot of mudholes. The Barnwell Mtn - Gilmer area is suposed to have alot of hills, rocks and trails. Both areas are fee areas. I have seen where some people have run right on the Red river sandbars under the bridge in Gainsville. It will still be a few months before I'm ready to run everything.

I live up in Lubbock, Texas and I know that the Canidian river is a nice LARGE place. It has trails from mild to wild and plenty of mud for the playing. Just a suggestion. Its up outside of Amarillo Texas.:)

I'm down close to Houston also. Shiloh ridge is a pretty cool place to go. Hooters is always cool too.:beer

I live close to Matagorda Beach. It's 22 miles long, and varies from flat, hard sand to shell cliffs and deep, soft sand with lots of obstacles. Plus, there's usually some good scenery on weekends. Just a thought...

The beach sounds good to me. Being in San Antonio, some of the trips to the Dallas area and beyond are just too far. The coast is always good fun though.

Okay, when do you think would be a good meet date? I'm thinking fall break, the heat shouldn't be so bad then.

Also, my best friend is looking to get a bronco, he should have one by then.

I start 7/14's in October and will be working them till close to Thanksgiving so we need to try to do it before then. Shiloh would be great, then i wouldn't have to rent a tanker truck to follow me.:thumbup
