FordFilly 07-18-2005, 01:57 PM I have a '79 and am interested in the snap top with dk tint windows, do you have a picture of it? Froggmann 07-19-2005, 11:42 AM Damn that is a good price, too bad I'm flat broke. :( 4wheelcustoms 07-19-2005, 11:58 AM I have a '79 and am interested in the snap top with dk tint windows, do you have a picture of it? The picture isn't that great but its the only one the manufacturer has for us but it gives you a good idea of the top anyway. This is the 2% tint version of course. http://www.specialtytopco.com/images/lboncsm.jpg And yes, this is a very very good price. You won't find these tops anywhere else at such great prices. AbesBlue95 07-19-2005, 12:37 PM just in case someone is trying to figure it out, i looked at the fastrac (w/ and w/o dark tint), i saw a savings of a little less than $70. just a warning though, in case you have popup blocked, 4wc site has them, but it may be where one of them can chat with you to help on any questions you have immediately, pretty cool if you ask me... 4wheelcustoms 07-19-2005, 03:22 PM You're correct, we do have popups but they aren't ads and the sale prices are a huge savings. A popup chat window comes up when we are available to chat with you live. Most people really like this. The STC sale ends soon so order now. FordFilly 07-19-2005, 05:48 PM Do the windows zip out? Does the hardware fit over an existing roll bar? 4wheelcustoms 07-19-2005, 05:55 PM The top has zipout windows or you can choose to roll them up. You should have no problem clearing a roll bar. Here are the details on the top: 1980-1991 BRONCO FASTTRAC ZIPPER TOP Our new 1980-91 Bronco Fasttrac Zipper Top has the same basic profile as our snap top for this vehicle. However, instead of fastening to the vehicle using snaps, it uses the fasttrac type fastening. In other words, it uses a belt rail and plastic extrusion fastening system similar to our early Bronco top. In addition, these tops have zip out side panels, and rear curtains which can be zipped out or rolled up. These tops also come with bags for storing the zipped out panels. These tops require much less drilling to install than the older snap type tops. The belt rail, which mounts to the top of the body, uses existing holes for the mounting bolts. The cab channel requires drilling to mount, but there is no drilling into the tailgate at all. There are two holes which have to be drilled into the top of the bed sides at the rear, and also, you have to drill two holes on each side for the bow mounts. This top is a convertible top, which can be easily folded down onto the back of the Bronco. Of course, you can run with the sides and back curtain zipped out and just have a canopy over the back of the Bronco. FordFilly 07-19-2005, 06:02 PM You show the years as 80 to 91, I have a '79. Is it the same? 4wheelcustoms 07-19-2005, 06:05 PM You show the years as 80 to 91, I have a '79. Is it the same? The 78-79 tops are snap top style tops. They aren't available with zipout panels. AbesBlue95 07-23-2005, 02:01 AM You're correct, we do have popups but they aren't ads and the sale prices are a huge savings. A popup chat window comes up when we are available to chat with you live. THESE TOPS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE, THE MANUFACTURE WENT OUT OF BUSINESS! pirate94 02-14-2007, 01:39 AM I am looking for half doors for a '88 Bronco. pirate94@hotmail.com Iolaus 02-14-2007, 02:54 AM I am looking for half doors for a '88 Bronco. pirate94@hotmail.com I'm not sure anyone makes them; your only hope is to find someone that will do up a custom set-up for you. There have been several members that fabricated their own; if you do a search, you should find some ideas. ;) P.S. Just a hint here. You'd do better to start a new thread in the right section on the topic than tagging onto an ancient "for sale" thread. ...and go introduce yourself too. Welcome to FSB. 4wheelcustoms 02-14-2007, 10:02 AM Thanks guys. Specialty Top Company (STC) was making Bronco tops and soft doors but they have recently went out of business. STC tops and doors are no longer available. I would expect a new owner to take over in the future but that could be a very long time. Thanks for your intrest. DELETE THREAD! THESE TOPS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE, THE MANUFACTURE WENT OUT OF BUSINESS! Crazed 02-14-2007, 01:19 PM Damn i waited too long. No more soft tops for FSBs? miesk5 02-23-2007, 11:05 AM Damn i waited too long. No more soft tops for FSBs? yo Crazed! ck out a few replies I made here on: Classic Roadsters II, Centre, MN is making a tonneau style and possibly a full size soft top for the Bronco. They have their own upholstery shop that has been in the custom/kit business for about 28 years and have produced soft tops for cars as well as full interiors, so experience is top of the line. They will be made of Haartz nylon material, a material used by some major auto & boat manufacturers, and it would come with either a clear or tinted window. The top will mount using the existing hard top holes, so you will not have to drill any holes; the tailgate section will be secured with an industrial strength velcro, so no drilling will be necessary there either. The tonneau style top will cost $375.00, and the full soft top will be $500.00 http://www.classicroadsters.com/ At present, there is currently no info on the Broncos there yet, but you can still take a look and see the work they have accomplished. Bill Scott wrote to me in late OCT (2007) - "We have one of the tonneaus done and here, I have fitted it on my Bronco and found that we needed a few adjustments...opening a new store in town and have been really busy with that, so hopefully once that is up and running we can focus on the tops again..." Crazed 02-23-2007, 11:12 AM Cool deal, this is something i was thinking of doing this year miesk5 02-23-2007, 11:18 AM ok, hopefully they will get it on and not bum out; I did a lot of research for them and had loads of correspondence with Classic, but it had dropped off to zilch since last OCT. |
