Is there any legal issues about running with no doors on yor Bronco.......
I think if you just put a ledge on the bottom of the sill like 4-6 inches you should be alright even though I have seen some of the other BKO's on this site with nothing at all......(only in the states I think though) :scratchhe

I think most states require side mirrors, that might be an issue. Personally I would rather have tube doors than none at all.

Used to be a guy at Eglin outside Ft Walton Beach, FL that ran a six inch lift...when he pulled his top he also took off the tailgate and the doors...I think the amin issue (like has already been said is the mirrors. Maybe get a "peep" mirror that would fit on your rain gutter...

Check your local regulations. Here in B.C. if the vehicle came from the factory with doors, it must have doors, no ifs ands or butts. There are some ways to minimize getting pulled over; run side mirrors, half door or tube door. Most officers don't know the MVA that well, and these things can make an officer think twice about stopping you.

:twotu: well being from BC, and now living in Alabama. I can give you a good overveiw. I run no doors, mirrors are mounted on fenders in front (better veiw now) The lip is 4" required. I was a asst. manager of a auto parts stores well known; two officers had teased me about it (being doorless). I asked what was illegal about it, they said being doorless was cause. I brought up , scouts, land cruisers, jeeps etc etec. From there they were speechless, I run my seat belt plus double arm rests and mirrors. They were un-informed regarding the 4 inch rise required. So it comes down to attitude, knowledge, and conditonof rig. I have never been bothered regarding being doorless, infact i get thumbs up from the good 'ol boys down here for it :twotu: :twotu:

Guidelines in BC are pretty straightforward.
If your vehicle came factory with doors, you are REQUIRED to run doors. That doesn't mean they have to be the same old stock doors it came with. How ever tube doors are a NO NO for street use as is going doorless IF YOUR VEHICLE CAME WITH DOORS! Earlier jeeps and scouts and even early BRONCOs get away with it because many of them came with OPTIONAL doors.... and that is the unfortunate loophole they can hang you with.
I like the idea of cutting them out and a few of us are looking at simple designs that will satisfy both us and the local RCMP.... we hope.. :twotu:

Most officers don't know the MVA that well,
Most GD (General Duty) Police Members don't deal that extensively with the M.V.Act other than routine traffic fines (speeding, fail to stop/signal etc). These officers are dispatched to other offenses that relate more to Criminal Code type offenses. Traffic Section takes care of MV accidents, extra enforcement and Counter Attack type initiatives. There is usually one traffic Guru in each detachment/office who knows the Motor Vehicle Act inside and out. I'm sure one could call ones local detachment and speak with someone in traffic who would know who the MVA Genius is.
"Skidmark" on BC4x4.com is one of these traffic gurus. He usually hangs out in the "Talk to the R.C.M.P." forum. He may be able to help or at least give you some direction. He has been extremely well educated by the RCMP.
