View Full Version : GA People - Rich Mtn
I emailed a bunch of the '78-'79 Bronco, local guys from PJB and told them about the Dixie Chapter here at FSB. Well, one of them wrote me back and said for me to let him know if we went up to Rich Mtn, that he'd like to go.
I've never been there, but I know Spade has. What do you guys think about a weekend at Rich Mtn, maybe late October? Wait, now that I read that and think about it. Rich Mtn is a WMA isn't it? Doesn't that mean hunters? Uhh, derrr...maybe not such a good idea. :duh
Discuss. ;)
79F150 08-06-2003, 08:03 PM Hey Mel finally found time to check out the site and it looks pretty cool may hang around a while. I am kind the odd one around here since I don't have bronco O-well. :thumbup
SMOOTH 08-06-2003, 08:48 PM I'm always up for a local run, those are the ones that don't cost alot of money. Count us in.
MM
RedClayBronc 08-07-2003, 12:46 AM Ive been there, its real cool and doesnt cost nething. The only thing is sometimes trails close in the winter, Okey Mountain for example is closed to atv/bikes/trux in for the "winter months" so im not sure on that part, but if i dont have football, im in- i might have a couple buddies with midsized rigs that would to too!

Hey Dude, welcome. :thumbup
So who wants to think about this? I'm not comfortable planning something, first because I'm not very dependable with my health and second cause I've never really been wheeling.
When is Spade gonna see this?
*goes to PM him*
Blaze 08-07-2003, 01:38 AM Yea good idea...didn't Spade say he wheels there a good bit???:shrug
Yeah, I PMed him the link to this thread. I asked him if he'd head it up since he's been there, we'll see what he says.
79F150 08-07-2003, 07:44 AM I have lived in Dallas for about 7 years now. I was raised in Marietta and I went to Sprayberry High School. I will be 31 at the end of this year. I live over by big tower that is where I take my 4 wheeler to ride. I have been trying to get some people up to go to the ORV park and do a little rideing.
Blaze 08-07-2003, 10:22 AM Paulding co. used to have some hella places to wheel, back in the day. But they pretty much all have subdivisions on 'em now...:banghead
That's why I live in South Ga. now...it's like home used to be!!!:rebelflag

Ellijay. I think I looked online once and found a couple places that had descriptions and a mad to the place.
jermil01 08-07-2003, 11:38 AM Man, it says Ellijay is almost 7 hrs from Jax, and that's going up 75 north of Atlanta.
Damn, that sucks. Ellijay is only about an hour from me. :p
jermil01 08-07-2003, 12:40 PM yeah it does..I don't know though, that was on Yahoo's map site, maybe there is a quicker way, or maybe I could just make a whole weekend out of it.
Spade 08-07-2003, 01:08 PM Whoops, sorry I have not been paying attention. It is right past Ellijay, about an hour or so north of ATL. I have run the trail stock, it was not too bad but that was a while ago and it has gotten a little tougher. There are plenty of spots to camp, the good ones go fast. There is one spot right next to the creek where you can fit atleast 10 or more tents. I am going back soon to test my friends Jeep,(we are installing a lift,) so I will check it out and post some pics. I am good to go whenever everyone else wants to.
