OK OKlahoma... I've been talking with a couple other OK guys and we're wanting to do a run up in Disney sometime after Labor Day weekend. We would like to avoid the holiday weekend crowd... No date is set yet. So input on this would be great... speak and let us know so we can try to get this thing going... There's a campground up there, and a place to work on yer rig... :twotu: So let's get something going here...

No problem there. Hell I've started attending the dixie chapter runs now. Superlift last month and then I'll be going to WITC in Oct. Dixie is a great bunch of people.

On a side note... I'm planning on installing my 6in BDS lift this weekend. Should probably order the tires (35 MT/R's) on Friday and hopefully have them by Wed of next week....Gears are going to have to wait awhile.. Hopefully get them Dec/Jan. So it's gonna be gutless for awhile. Fog

I've never been to Disney either. I've seen it mentioned so many times so I can't wait to see it.

Good luck with the lift and tires. My wife complains about how hard it is to get into now (just 32" tires) so those kind of goodies for me are a little ways off.

I am going to have my Mom's travel trailer there so if anybody would like to sleep in the A/C just let me know. I usually stay at the campsite in Spavinaw, but am considering one of the campsites in Disney.

I'm still up in the air about disney. But I am still trying to get there... Trying to get my family to commit to thier plans so I know what's going on.

I will be in Kinta however for sure on Oct 29/30 for a wheeling trip with the Trailchasers. Anyone from the board is welcome to attend as well....

Doesn't look like I will be able to go to WITC in Oct. so I may plan on meeting up with you and going to Kinta. Never been there myself.

I may even come down to Bethany on the 17th.

Come on down... Kinta is nice, easy run. The actual trails are simple dirt roads with obstacles on the side trails. Even if you don't wanna run the hard stuff you can go along and watch or spot for the others.. I missed the run last year due to surgery, but Reddirt made it with his stocker and said he enjoyed it... I was really looking for this to be my break-in run for the new lift and tires, but Disney is calling my name. So I may try to do both..
If you make the Kinta run, we all usually stay at Robbers Cave state park. We also usually run with one or more of the rangers from there. It gets us into some of the areas of the park not open anymore...

There are always some pretty good door prizes and raffles at the truck show. I got a set of Warn lights and a nice powerwasher last year.... Lots a rigs to look over too...

I did in a way fall off the earth. After I replaced the motor I started a new project. Restoring a 1970 Dodge Charger and have been pretty tied up since. I'm taking a break from my Charger and playing with the Bronco.

Well, if all goes well... blah blah blah... trying not to jinx myself here... I gotta run to New Jersey this weekend, but next weekned would probably have me home... :twotu: paydays are looking like they'll be better than I expected... but, we all know how that goes... hopefully, I can get something done with the lift, if not, I'm putting a set of new generic front springs in this thing, just to level it out a bit... wish me luck...

I know exactly what you mean. I am in the same business. Except we don't do alot of cabling anymore. We do the phone system installs and sometimes the computer installs. I've done a couple of those stores you are talking about.

I am glad that my company gave up chasing that retailers dollar. I couldn't stand working for those people.

I am finally replacing my broken front axle and RA bushings.

I'll be ready to have some fun next weekend.

This may have to be my last trip this year. So I am planning on making it a good one.

Is this still good? Do you have any directions?

Best I can tell ya is check mapquest. Put in the city of Disney, OK and it should get you close enough to be able to see where the meeting place is. The dam is not hard to find at all. It's a mile long, somewhat narrow, and divides the cities of Disney and Langley.

Well for those that couldn't make it, I'm sorry you missed a great day. For those that couldn't be bothered, tough titty.
Hunter234, Skued and myself spent the morning along the river and found some mud. Only one stuck when I slipped into the ruts and went to easy on the gas. We then graduated to some good hillclimbs and descents. Unfortunately Skued had to return home at (late) lunch time.
After lunch Hunter234 and myself played in the riverbed.
Carnage was limited to one of Hunter234's tires which was cut in the sidewall and three small stones caught in the front disk dust shields (1 for Hunter234 and 2 for me).
My wife enjoyed the day, nows she's even talking about me getting a lift :-).

Tomh971 and I have talked about getting an annual OK run together. Like what the dixie chapter has for their Run in the sun. I think we will have to plan a get together next spring and hold it annually at different locations in OK.
