Does anyone have a busted console I can get the latch from?

I've got a 78 Bronco with a newer model console. I'd rather have the older style console, but I can live with the newer one I have if I could just get a latch for it. The one I have is lockable and someone busted the lock, so now the lid doesn't latch and if I roll everything in it will come out. Thanks!

If your console is the '78-91 style, it uses the same latch as most glove boxes of that era. Find one in a junkyard & snag it. If the key isn't with it, take it to a locksmith & let him make one for $10-20.

If it's the '92-96 style, there's no lock.

No, I just plan to be prepared. Thanks for the lock info, I got one off a crown vic for free and it worked great.
