Hey fellas;

I have a custum rear bumper myself that I did with my old flight chief at my old base (military)(i since moved bases) I would like to get rid of my stock tire carrier and add a nice HD to hold a full size spare (38' swamper) but I want it still to swing open. what is your guys recommendations to use for that purpose? Oh yeah, I would like to have my carrier hold my high lift as well.

some people use D44 spindles and a hub to for the bearings and some people use trailer axle bearings

you could also make a hing by find a pipe with an od of the ID of another pipe.

Thanks for the link any other parts that I will need besides tubing? What is the best tubing to use square or round? Any ideas on how to mount a high lift to this thing, possible well secured so it does not fly or or easly stolen?

make the swing outm, and then bolt some 1/2 fine thread bolts. You can then use wheel locks. Or use some other sorta locking mechanism. If someone really wants it, they are gonna get it.
