I don't know if truck related stuff is allowed in this forum, but here goes. I want, no, I NEED a pair of daylighters on my bumper this weekend. I would like to get a pack of two with the wiring. What brand is recommended?

look on ebay and the best is relative to what you can afford. you can get HID and pay out the bungholio, and you can look on harbor freight and they are 5" for $10 each. ebay also has a bunch and JCWhitney has a ton of lights too for decent cost

i have 4 KC'son my roof on a bar and i am really thinking about putting them on the bumper and selling the light bar. i am not sure how they would hold up on the tuttle trails

depends on what you want them for...you got a few choices kc's are a pencil beam where as you can get something similar to a procomp that gives a wider light pattern.

good point. I want some that put out a pretty broad beam so I can find my way around the mtns at night, just on dirt roads and mild trails...not really wheelin', and setting up camp late at night etc. I saw these ones at wallies which are 6" 100w and 'guaranteed not to rust' for 16 a piece, which seem pretty reasonable.

well if they are guarantted not to rust...keep receipt and that way you can just exchange them every year once they do rust...because believe me they will. :twotu:

yeah, i thought that was a pretty bold statement. rust is not a big issue where i live, but c'mon. Any recommendations for wiring kits? Are they worth buying or should I just whip up my own?

do it your self...but make sure to put in a relay...pretty self explanitory...the relay package will even show you what wire goes were.

Not to hijack, but does anyone have experience with Pro Comps they can share? I'm thinking about getting 4 to mount on my roof rack and a pair of Daylighters for my bumper.

ya a run a pair of the 8 inch on the pillars of my bko...they seem to work really good out in the desert.

You can get KC's in sets, with the wiring. I know because I have a set of 150W sealed beams that kick ass.

KC Daylighters is a series of KC lights
