Hey guys, should have the truck done Monday or Tuesday (3rd or 4th of Oct). Need to find somewhere to try out the 6" lift and front and rear ARBs. Any suggestions?

PS- I'm new to the area, only been here 2 months and haven't explored too far from the concrete. :twak

Yeah I was considering that quite a bit, but I work until 9 am on Saturday and don't know if it's a good idea to make that long of a drive, then wheel, and then drive home all after putting in a whole days (well, a whole nights) work. Maybe we'll be slow and I can get cut back!! :histerica I'll see what I can manage.

Pony- a few people I've talked to said Evens might be the closest thing around here, but I do want to go to Naches before too long also. I've heard good things about that place.

Thanks guys. :beer

Heavy duty wheelin in Evens.
There are lots of little places in Puyallup and Fife for a pretty good time.
Places that you don't have to worry about.
Evens and Naches are places you should have several people with you.
I could show you some Places in Puyallup if ya want to check out your ARB.
I tested mine out in my buddies field. You like mud, his field is a safe place to go and not have to worry about not getting out after getting stuck, and you can get really stuck.

After some consideration, I'll probably try some smaller places first just to make sure I have everything set up right. We're doing a lot of stuff at once to my truck ie lift, gears, lockers, steering, hubs, and brakes. I don't want to get in to something too deep just to realize this or that isn't right on my rig. Plus I read somewhere that I should run my new gears for 500 miles or so on the road?!....is that true? Either way, I probably won't even have it all done until the middle of this week now so I won't get it on the trail until next weekend probably.

Anyway, I'll try some of the local spots...learn how to handle this truck (all my previous wheelin experience is on solid fronts....this is my first IFS [TTB] set up), and then I'll head up to the bigger and better trails. PM me if any of you guys want to head out somewhere.

Thanks again :beer

200 miles is a normal break in period for new gears then change
out the gear oil. You should have actually ran the gears for about
15 miles, let them cool completely and then ran them again for another 15 and let them cool. It is called seasoning them. Anyway, the fronts will never get 200 on them unless you had a full time set up so after the first few wheelin trips you should swap out the oil.
When ya wanna go throw some mud around, let me know. My bud live in Puyallup and you can use his land to try them out.
