View Full Version : To my Virginia Brothers....
SMOOTH 08-15-2003, 05:54 PM A family that is very close to me (as close as my family is to me) has a son that is turning 16 and I have convince them that he needs a Bronco. Aside from the fact that they are the coolest truck on the road (and off it) the boy is 6ft 7in and 280 lbs. I have been get me hand-me-UPS since he entered the 6th grade. So he liked that the Bronco was big enough for him to fit in.
So here is what I am looking for:
They live on the east coast (hampton Roads, above VA Beach). I would like to see him in an 87-91 but would consider any Bronco. Ideally I would like for him to have the 351W and C-6, but we can be flexable. Lastly, and most importantly, they don't have alot of money. I know, no one ever does, but the boy could greatly benefit from one that needs some work, and have him work on it until he gets his liscense. So, if it needs body work, engine work, breaks, whatever, I will consider it. Please keep your eyes out and let me know what you find.
I appreciate any and all help you can give me.
Thanks guys,
MM
SMOOTH 08-15-2003, 06:53 PM BTW, this is what he looks like. Now, I'm 5-11 to give you an idea. And don't forget, that's a 15 year old boy standing over my truck.

If you see anything let me know. If you have time to check it out for me, I would be in your debt. They are not car people so they wouldn't know what to look for. Thanks for anything you can do.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have the speed for linebacker, but I am pushing for lineman. He's playing in highschool now, since he is going into 10th grade, the big debate is whether they will pull him up to Varisty or leave him down in JV for another year. I think he would make a great center or tackle. BTW, I was wrong about the highth, he's actually 6'8 and he wears size 16.

Broncomx 08-17-2003, 07:12 PM what kinda money are they willing to put out for the bronco?
vabchbronco 08-17-2003, 08:24 PM this might a little out of the way. but e-bay a garage in new york is selling a 1989 ford bronco with a 302. the bidding is at $142.50 and ends on the 21st. i dont know if there is a reserve or not. the item number is 2428376174. i found it searching under bronco top.
southrnpride69 08-17-2003, 08:54 PM I am stationed in norfolk va and I bought my bronc here. Tell his parents to buy a tidewater trader. Thaey come out every tuesday and are ussually full of broncos from all over the hampton roads area if they take thier time they could easily fin a decent bronco for between 2 and 5 thousand dollars that need little or no work i paid 950 for mine and all it needed was a rear main seal. :beer
Broncomx 08-17-2003, 10:09 PM I got my bronco out the the tidewater truck trader last year. But I know of a few bronco's already for sale just need to know what kinda money they are wanting to spend
SMOOTH 08-18-2003, 10:28 AM I would imagine anything over $2500, $3000 would be too much. I would prefer if it needed some work, the boy needs to learn how to work on cars. In my family, if you car broke, you either learned how to fix it, or you didn't have a car. That's what he needs. They visited me this weekend, I taught him to change oil and sparkplugs, but he should learn some other basics as well. I will tell them about the tidewater trader. BTW, I lived out there, I grew up in Poquoson (don't judge) I've got family in Seaford, Newport News, Richmond, and Poquoson. I don't miss the driver's, the construction, or the fly-by's. Thanks for ya'lls help.
