View Full Version : Hi everyone
Dixie Doll 08-16-2003, 02:22 AM I have been reading some of the posts with my husband and found out that ya'll are pretty cool! I thought I might hang with you. I love to go four-wheeling with my husband when we can. It is really hard when you have two kids and you have to find a babysitter to get to do this. My husband is 79F150. So you should know that is only a bench seat that fits 3 not 4. It really sucks because I know that both of my kids love it. Hope to talk to you soon!
welcome. don't forget to vote for top 4x4 sites daily, and fotm monthly!

Yep 79F150 is getting itchy to get a ride for me. He only has 100 projects going at one time so when the hell is he going to have time for my Bronco.:shrug
littleone 08-16-2003, 12:11 PM Welcome to the club. Nice to get more ladies on the board
Learn to work on the Bronco yourself. Its not really hard all you have to have is a Haynes manual and ask us questions. If that doesn't work bang his tools around. He will go into heart failure, coming running, and do it himself........Ain't that right Gearrat :angel
Queen of the Forest 08-16-2003, 12:16 PM Heart failure.........:thumbup Yeah they get a little pissy when you even LOOK at their tools!! And they say women are bad! :lolup
Welcome aboard, and I agree with Blaze on this, a bronco would solve all your problems when it comes to taking the kids wheeling...... I can put 4 people and a dog in mine. :thumbup Dog usually gets the front seat though.......she loves it just as much as the kids! :beer
Dixie Doll 08-16-2003, 12:48 PM Well then everyone keep their eyes open for a Bronco for me. Something I can fix up. :D
I will take your advice and if I need help and clang 79F150 tools around he would definitely have a heart attack.
I have not done more than change the oil and help 79F150 but I love to be outside when he and his buddies are working on their cars. I watch and ask lots of question. :thumbup

I've seen a couple for sale around Kennesaw, but that was like a couple weeks ago. If I see anything I'll let ya know. :)
Blaze 08-16-2003, 01:09 PM I seem to recall a number I had lying around of a guy that had a '78 or '79 for sale in Hiram, but it needed work. Ya want me to try and find it or are you looking for something newer to drive daily??:shrug
Ogeechee 4x4 08-16-2003, 01:26 PM lil bit of a late reply here, but
Welcome to FSB :beer
Dixie Doll 08-16-2003, 01:29 PM Blaze that would be great let me know what you find. I have a daily driver (Ford Sport Trac) this would be a play toy. :thumbup

welcome to the site Dixie Doll :beer
Blaze 08-16-2003, 01:38 PM I'll see if I can find it, till then heres one you can kick around with the ole man: '85 in Lithonia, 351C (says runs great), needs paint (how important is that on a trailrig?) $900 OBO (OBO? hell ya might can pick this up pretty cheap, making it worth the drive to get it:shrug ) Call 678-526-9279 (saw it in the Atl. advertiser <-- great place to find used rigs!):beer
Dixie Doll 08-16-2003, 02:55 PM Yeah 79F150 is laughing at me now. I called him (he is at work) and told him about the other Broncos I found. I called the number you listed and it was a business I didn't leave a message but it is definitely a possibility. Especially because the Gov! gave us some money because we have kids HEHEHE. Was there a picture of it in the Advertiser?
79F150 08-16-2003, 03:22 PM Well I quess her new shopping mall will be Summit, Jegs and other auto parts store. :toothless

littleone 08-16-2003, 03:57 PM Doesn't sound bad to me. Find out mileage on the 302 looks good. Call them.
Well have you called yet?

79F150 08-16-2003, 04:08 PM I called and it also has a rebuilt tanny new torque converter and fly wheel. The tires has 3/4's of the tread left. It sounds good.

Ogeechee 4x4 08-16-2003, 05:28 PM :stupid it's a farily good deal now, but if you can talk them down a little....:beer

Dixie Doll 08-17-2003, 12:41 PM 79F150 and I looked at the Bronco yesterday. He drove it and said NO! NO! NO! He said that is was dog slow. I guess we are going to look for something that we can spend a lot less money on and work on the engine to our liking. Still looking keeps your eyes open.
Ogeechee 4x4 08-17-2003, 06:43 PM if it hasn't been regeared, i bet it is kinda slow....
don't worry though, y'all will find bronco soon (even though you just started looking) :beer
