View Full Version : Subwoofer enclosure design and build FordbyFord 11-02-2005, 09:46 PM Heres the deal I have 2 10" BAJA subs and a pair of 8" Cupid??? Subs I had bought off of ebay for 80 included the amp but anyway The set up I have right now takes up alot of room in the back I was woundering if anyone had any I deas of making a smaller eclosurebut I want all the subs in the same box (ported I also have 2 tweeters for the 8" subs but I want something that gonna take up least amount of space any idea would be apprciated Se7eN 11-02-2005, 10:14 PM instead of mounting the speakers in boxes, can't you mount them under the bucket seats? just a thought... that's if you need the room in the back... Dustin 11-02-2005, 11:24 PM its built for 10s. It was custom built by a buddy of mine that is into building enclosures. He built it to spec for mtx subs but Ive had others in there that sound just as good. Where the box goes over the wheel wheel is fiberglass to form around and fit tight against the wheel well. Its completly sealed with silicone on the inside too. worked well, I had to build another box to fit around my cage and i just used 1 12 instead hows 50bucks plus shipping sound? I guess you could build one on both sides. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/splah/SpeakerBox1.jpg jam0o0 11-15-2005, 12:48 AM hey dustin what do you use to keep that from box from floping around when you're off road? i have a big sub box and need a way to tie it down. i was thinking getting some flushmount tie down points. bolting them to the floor and just using a ratched strap to hold the box. any ideas? |
