ive seen a couple of rock sliders on a few rigs (such as Bronczillas and anotehr Blue early 80's model bronco) that looked the exact same (with the exception of Zilla being incorporated into his exo cage)

i was wondering if these are custom fabbed or is there someone who sells em... also for those who DO have them please post up pics.. particularly how you mounted them to the frame ect.

Yup, and I've built about 6 pairs of sliders myself... so, to answer your question, the sliders you see, are custom built

From what I have seen there are usually two ways to mount them to the frame. Bolts or welds. In either case the runner from the silder is welder to a larger flat plate that it then either bolted or welded to the frame.

I made mine myself, but there is nothing special about them. I welded them straight to the frame instead of to an intermediate plate. I've taken some hard landings on them with no problems. The only tricky place when welding them on is I ended up running one of the mounting legs between the emergency brake cables, it was no big deal. It should go without saying that when welding to the frame you need to get anything on the inside of the frame like wiring, fuel filters or air lines out of harms way before starting to weld.

I think they look pretty good on the truck and they kick the crap out of the nerf bars I destroyed prior to building these.
