so everyone knows, i will be testing some different forum colors, backgrounds etc., some of you have said the gray is easier on the eyes than the off white, i am used to white i guess and it dont bother me, but i am open for suugesstions, so if you see one pop up you like post it here so i know, i 'll try not to mess with it too much at one time, dont want to annoy anyone :)

Yeah I think a dark color scheme would be good. Just as long as your text is still viewable. I have seen some sites where their colors run together and you hardly read it without putting you eyeballs on the screen... :twak: :twak:

what about dark blue/light blue?... Black like Pirate4x4...possibly maroon/red like the top

basically the colors need to be 'easy' on the eyes .. the light colors are rough if you are looking at them in the dark...adjusting the colors with the lights off is generally a good way to judge by the way it 'feels' in the dark

My other board is dark/light blue and it is comfortable... and maybe make the text a llittle bit bigger and BOLD

the blue is too close to the threads that have been read color...makes them hard to see

I think the post colors are great. Maybe darkening the background up some would get the effect Grizz is talking about. Someone mentioned going with the maroon like at the top banner. I think that would make for nice framing, give a darker appearence and also keep us from looking to much like some other boards.

I agree with 4xpepe' we need to be as different from the others as possible...

For me the darker colors are just personal preference... :) Not to say that the work that has been done is not great, because it is! I just like dark greens and reds and blues, greys and black, that kinda thing... :)
