I ordered some coil springs from these guy's for my SAS that I'm doing. They quoted me $192 for a pair of springs for a 4" lift. They asked what kind of vehicle with what size motor and did I have ac. I also told them that I had a runnel bumber that weighed about 130 lbs. and will be putting a MileMarker winch in it. They wrote me back with the quote and asked me if I wanted 4" after or before the bumper weight. I told them after the extra weight. I called and asked them if they could make the coil wraps tighter so that I could flex more. The guy said so, you want articulation I said yes. I just got finished talking to them and they sould be shipped out this week. It took them about 3 wks to get to my order. I will send in the picks ASAP.
here is there web site: http://www.coilsprings.com/

I thought you had to have atleast 8 inches of clearance to do a SAS. I guess I could be wrong.

well I know you need at least a 6" lift spring in there to clear. anything else the diff will hit the crossmember

Ok here's one for ya.

6" springs with stock spring tower or 78 spring tower?

And is that 6" spring TTB or is that a solid spring?

read the thread in here about differnt spring lenghts and ride quality.

you can use either the ttb spring or solid spring as long as its for a 6", and Im using the 78 towers since they offer a cleaner install

I got my converson kit from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. It is made by fabtech. I called fabtech and they told me that the way the kit is designed to get a 6" lift you need a 4" spring, so that is what I ordered.

I would have liked to do the same, but I am by no means a fabricator. Plus, I have not got the time to try to build one from scratch. I figure if I can at least get this kit on I can modify it as I get better a fab work. Plus I have pay for a bay and stored fee here on post. Can't do any work like that in the driveway. It is agiant post regulations and bla bla bla bla bla.

Yeah I know. It kinda sucks when I have a little more money than time. I'm getting ready to leave Ft Rich for another place in about 9 months. If I had my own garage and ALL the tools to fab stuff I would not have bought it and done the work myself. I know 99% of the guys on this board did everything from scratch and I comend them for that .:thumbup

You could always keep the 4" coils that you ordered and mount the coil towers 2" lower for crossmember clearance.

OR you could just have at er and chop it off!

I used 4" Skyjacker coils meant for a 79 on my 94F150SAS. Cleared fine. I used the stock 94 upper towers and 78 lower cups, the conversion added an inch or two of lift. :rockon
