Harbor Freight tools has a Cheap-o Air Hammer on sale and I'm wondering if anyone has ever used this?
Central Pneumatic "Heavy Duty Air Impact Hammer kit"
Normally $29.99...on sale for ($9.99). I know that cheap tools are usually $hit but I figure I will only use it for chopping the rivets out of my radias arm brackets and somewhere down the road when I do my first lift.
Don't know if I will use it much more than that but wondering if it could be a good buy for the cheap $9.99?
Anyone?........

You gets what you pays for. Don't expect it to last long. I used a couple of 9.99 grinders in doing body work, they wern't the greatest but did the job.
Good luck,

I bought a cheap CH brand air hammer from walmart. I used it when I did my lift and it worked with no problems.

In my experience it's not that a cheap tool will break, it just won't do it's job worth a crap. On the other hand, it's worth $10 to see if it's worth a crap. And if it isn't you can get $5 for it on eBay. I have to admit that HF has suprised me in the past. I recently bought their "Earthquake" impact wrench, it's a knock off of an Ingersol Rand Thunder Gun. Best damn impact wrench I've ever owned, go figure. I say go for it and report back here with your findings.

You can get a cheap Campbell-Hausfeld air hammer at Lowes for like 15 bucks. I have bought quite a few of their air tools and have never had trouble (knock on wood).

I have had my cheapo harbor frieght air hammer for a year and no problems yet, except that sometimes when you pull the trigger the hammer wont start-it takes a couple tries to get it started.

If it don't work out, I'd recommend this one:

It costs a bit more, but when you use one you know why.
CP tools rock.
