TCRIMSONK 10-13-2003, 11:42 AM I'm in Frederick. 93BroncoXLT 10-13-2003, 12:46 PM Well hell...we startin to get our own little group together....might have to have a get together here before the bad weather sets in....anybody have any local "wheelin'" spots around...other than driving upto Paragon? 93BroncoXLT 10-13-2003, 12:47 PM Originally posted by TCRIMSONK I'm in Frederick. How'd your inspection go? I going back here soon...hope mine goes well. TCRIMSONK 10-13-2003, 12:49 PM I still havent gotten her inspected. I just agreed to buy a set of fender flares for Kenny (on FSB) to cover the rust on the fenders, and then I ordered some replacement body trim, which I am going to use to cover the rust on the tailgate. I know I could just fix it right, but I want to drive the truck for a little while, and decide if it's reliable enough to invest that sort of time. SNIBB 10-14-2003, 08:01 PM that would b awsome 2 get together & go 4wheelin. i used 2 no this place n Crofton that i rode dirtbikes at. great place, but they found a body back there & it got shut down. but theres this other place n Luarel i no of, havent riding there n a while but i plan 2 soon. ill get back 2 u guys on that 1. TCRIMSONK 10-15-2003, 11:30 AM I went driving down my road last night. With the rain, all 3 bridges on my little gravel road were flooded again. It was fun to drive though water that covered the tops of my tires. But I still need to get her off road. Still working on that inspection though. Anyway, 93BroncoXLT, do you think there's anything we can do to get that girl to jump a little higher? :beer 93BroncoXLT 10-16-2003, 11:33 AM Originally posted by TCRIMSONK I went driving down my road last night. I also know a few places in Bowie and a good place outside of easton. I'm trying to get together a couple buds and head up to western MD to like a state park or something and do some wheelin':rockon :rebelflag TileitII 11-29-2003, 01:14 PM 93f150 ok now were talkin weastern md sounds good,im up for it !! maybe just all hook up and meet for a brewha! Bill SNIBB 12-02-2003, 12:33 AM man davidsonville is close. so what the story on yellowgates? me & my buddy drove by like yesterday. the entrances are blocked, but there were trucks parked at them, probly hunting inside. & whats these bowie places? smokinjoestein 12-15-2003, 01:32 PM I would'nt wheel what is known as yellowgates in crofton off of Rt.301 & Rt.424. The Maryland Mudbugs used to wheel back here but a land development company purchased the land is having the police go back there and search for tresspassers. It actually is a funny story, I was back there on my trail bike and a stock cherokee with his lights on chasing every-body out. It was funny because the police officier driving the jeep obvioulsy never wheeled before because he ripped is front and rear bumber right off on a fast paced off camber flying. It was quite funny if you were there. Well I'm lookin for a new place to bring the Bronco and the trail bike now. Let me know if any of you local boys find anything to wheel on. I'll do the same. msg_jwilliams 01-02-2004, 09:12 AM Greetings folks, I am a new owner and I am stationed at Fort meade, just south of Baltimore. Regards, Jeff h8nlife 01-05-2004, 03:06 AM Hey, I'm from Fallston.....just northeast of Baltimore....Damn, Crofton was one of my favorite places to go romp at.....That bites!! :banghead :cry That place was just awesome!!!! I never heard anything about them finding a body there....crazy.... :shocked We got a few small places to go around here...but ya always gotta watch it cause no one knows for sure if it's legal or not :wacko But we're always looking for some new places too :rockon I'll be back out and about as soon as I can find a freakin oil pan for my Bronco.....One day :banghead L8TR Peeps Aikidoka 01-05-2004, 11:05 AM h8nlife, check your Oil Pan Wanted thread. http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?p=144410#post144410 /==0=\ 01-05-2004, 10:01 PM Damn developers, my favorite place to wheel is now a #$%&ing GOLF COURSE! Glad all the land around my farm is in land preservation, them bastards can't get they're greedy little hands on it for quite some time :thumbup TCRIMSONK 01-06-2004, 01:07 AM What's in a golf course to stop you from wheelin there? /==0=\ 01-06-2004, 03:21 PM lol, i used to whip donuts in the sand pits on my banshee. Used to race quads down the little golf cart trail too. :rebelflag What stopped my wheeling there? 16 points and $1500 in fines :duh 93BroncoXLT 01-06-2004, 03:38 PM Hey I play golf...please don't ruin my course! :cry /==0=\ 01-06-2004, 03:49 PM Hey I play golf...please don't ruin my course! :cry don't worry, we keep it off the green :thumbup SNIBB 01-07-2004, 06:09 PM yo 93F150, where ya been? did you straighten out your locker? didn't you say you know of someplaces around bowie & easton? i'd like to check these out. /==0=\ 01-08-2004, 02:36 PM yo 93F150, where ya been? did you straighten out your locker? didn't you say you know of someplaces around bowie & easton? i'd like to check these out. Nope, resorted to a (gasp!) open rear... I've been working on my Firebird recently and I haven't messed with my Truck much. I Know some quasi-legal wheeling spots (nobody has ever told me to leave anyway) :rebelflag SNIBB 01-09-2004, 06:28 PM ok thats cool. where they at? any directions? seems like we got another local wheeler up in bowie too, names smokinjoestein. hes told me about a place around bowie state university. is that 1 you know of? we all gotta go somewhere sometime. Shadofax 01-16-2004, 01:47 AM I'm in Frederick. No, when I lived in Maryland, that was Fredneck. :toothless Just kidding. That was way out from DC. I'll bet things have grown all the way up there by now. TCRIMSONK 01-16-2004, 12:33 PM :banghead That was way out from DC. I'll bet things have grown all the way up there by now. Yeah, it's getting ugly. In frederick county, the average value of homes have gone up 25% in the last 2 years. That's more than double the national average. I was hoping to buy a place, but the prices go up faster than I can save! :banghead /==0=\ 01-17-2004, 06:24 PM Yeah, bowie state is one of them... it's not bad for some mild wheelin, and they're one pretty hardcore spot back there that F-ed up my cuz's jeep (35's, welded F&R diffs) SNIBB 01-19-2004, 12:26 PM did he do that where the lake crosses the trail? i wanna know how deep that spot is. /==0=\ 01-19-2004, 08:12 PM That was back where all those little dirt piles and potholes were, way back in the trails on the parks and planning side... are you talking about under the bridge? Once over (under) the bridge it's Parks and Planning, no Bowie state anymore. Or are you talking about the first part right past the motocross track thing? The trails stay shollow enough to go through in my truck (2" lift and 33's) all the way back to the river (or the RR tracks, depending which trail you take) My buddy's F-250 (5" lift, dinky little 285/75/16 A/T's) runs through that stuff all day long. Just make sure and change your diff fluid every oil change, as a precaution SNIBB 01-21-2004, 01:01 PM ive only taken my dirtbike back to the bridge. the 1 i was talking about was the 1st part right after the motocross thing. /==0=\ 01-21-2004, 04:31 PM all the bad ass stuff s on the parks and planning side, trails go for miles TCRIMSONK 01-21-2004, 05:54 PM Can you guys tell me where you all are talking about? What county is this in? /==0=\ 01-21-2004, 08:11 PM PG county... beware any white man who enters thee :uhoh3 joey91473 01-22-2004, 01:12 PM st marys county maryland here :brownbag SNIBB 01-24-2004, 07:17 PM hey joey, welcome to the site. |
