View Full Version : Retiring vendor....kinda
Dustin 02-19-2006, 10:11 PM Ok people here is the deal.....Im going to be getting away from shipping anything. Ive lost my hookup with shipping and its kinda pita to deal with anyway. Not to mention Its hard to get stuff done sometimes with working fulltime and having a life. Ive want to spend time doing other things on the weekends instead of working all the time. Ive noticed its taken me along time to finish projects I take on just cause I have other stuff I want too do. Ive even been slacking on my own projects to get other peoples stuff done. Dont get me wrong I enjoy build stuff for people and seeing my work on others broncos here on FSB, but its just consuming too much of my time. Its not fair to make someone wait forever on stuff either.
I will continue to build but I will only do it locally. so if your in AZ,CA or close look me up. I will be glad to work something out with you. Im in CA(so cal) kinda often so. If its something simple I wont need the truck and can even work out deleivery and what not.
I know david is talking his work fulltime so look him up. he does good work and he will need all the business possible if he is making it his living.
Thanks to all of you that have bought from me in the past. I still remember when I first built my sliders and posting them up here. I got alot of good feedback and that started the whole desire to build more. I know there are alot of sets out there, Ive forget exactly how many now. I have shipped stuff all the way to new york and florda before. kinda cool to think my work has made it across the county.
Like I said Im not quiting entirly, just stepping down from the out of state deals.
that is all......

yeah they get around. at our az run there was a couple sets running around there that I built. i wish i would have kept better track of where all of them ended up.

:toothless

actually... i need them remounted to the frame. the plates have bent heavily downward, so that one side is about 3/4" below the body, and the other side is around 2" away from the bottom of the body. the driver's side, is what needs it, and it doesnt look very happy.
Dustin 03-31-2006, 09:41 PM how did that happen? when you got winched out of that spot on ajax? Ive never had that happen with mine, hell Ive even was winched sideways and down from the sliders.
either way I can take care of it for you....just need to swing by my house. give me a call when you get time
84x4bronco 04-01-2006, 02:26 AM thanks man, it'll be a bit before i can get around to it, but i'll hit you up one day. it was from ajax. i think its because we didnt weld along the top of the mounting plate, thinking that it would never see downward pressure to that extent... no biggie.

your right, I forgot about that. In the position it was in I couldnt get the gun up there. what we will do this time is weld the plates on the truck then weld the legs to it. could even throw a simple gusset in there too
Bronco Rob 04-02-2006, 09:21 PM So now that you are retired, are you going to pull your pants up to your nipples and wander around mumbling about the good old days?
