Hey guys, I got a flyer today from the SE Early Broncos Club. They are having their 2nd Annual run down in Holopaw, FL. It's a little south of Orlando off of 441, looks like it could be a good time. They are having camping, trailriding, mud bogging and racing. The dates are from October 17 - 19. If you are interested, let me know and I'll get you the info. I plan on attending this one. Should be close enough for AC, gobucs, Nathaniel and a few other hopefully to make it. :thumbup

Update for all those interested. Mudtoberfest will be held in Holopaw, FL Oct . 17 - 19th. Holopaw is South of St. Cloud at the cross roads of 192 and 441. You will miss it if you blink. I spoke with Butch Williams who is one of the members of the Southeast Early Broncos group that is hosting it. The area we will be riding in is private property a total of about 4000 acres, and it is gated. The place was supposed to be a huge housing development and was set up in plats, but it never got off the ground. Butch tells me the terrain is much like the Mondex, lost of mud, mud holes and so forth. But he also said rigs with 33's won't have a problem. Last year there were about 30 rigs, and they do welcome others besides just Bronco owners. There is a hotel in St. Cloud where they typically stay called the Polynesian, $40 bucks a night, no roaches..You can supposedly cram as many people in the room as you like. The hotel is about 15 miles away from the trails. I plan on heading down hopefully Friday afternoon, and leaving Sunday early. I hope to see you all there.

Is there any sort of registration fee or roster to sign in advance? Or is it just show up when/if you feel like it?
Thanks.

No registration fee or anything, the land is private property and Butch who I spoke with last week, said the more the merrier. Should be about 30 to 40 trucks or so. For those of you who will be wanting to meet up, I will probably head down Friday the 17th and get a room at the Polynesian. Anyone needing additional information, PM me and I'll give you my cell #.

I think the easiest thing for us to do would be to meet up in St. Cloud at this hotel Saturday morning, and go from there.

GearHead

thats easy, i'll met ya at the roach motel.

Welcome back Blaze.

I was just wondering if there was any sort of updated head count for people planning on attending?
I was also wondering if those who are, might possibly post a pic of their ride, although that might not be necessary since this is a EB thing and the FS's would be easy enough to spot. :brownbag
Nevermind.

(just thinking I'd get down there and not realize I might've "known" that guy over there or something.)

I am deffinetly in, is anyone intrestred in splittin a room with me?

Blaze
10-02-2003, 12:50 AM
After looking at the calander it looks like I can make it that week-end. Whats the details on the room Nathaniel??

Nathaniel
10-02-2003, 01:01 AM
Jermy said they were 40 a night, so just split the cost evenly, be like 60 a person. PM me so we can get it figured out.

Nathaniel, how do you get $60 a person out of $40 bucks a night, maybe my ariffmatic ain't too good , but that don't add up..The deal is this. The rooms are $40 bucks a night and you can supposedly squeeze as many into a room as you want.

JAFO, so far this is who we have coming:
Me
JAFO
Gobucs
Gearhead (I'm pretty sure)
Oscar, and his friend with a Bronco(s/w Oscar yesterday, he's up in Fernandina)
Nathaniel
Shane
Dovepower

So that's like 9 rigs if we all show up. Here's a pic of my rig from the First Dixie Chapter run, but if you look for the white '92 Bronc with the bent to s**t rear bumper, that's me.

This is my rig, minus the POS nerf bars, I'll have the Dave built sliders on by the time of the ride.

Like I said, if anyone needs more info, PM me and I'll give you my cell number. I'll get out more details next week. I'm really excited, because it looks like we will have a great Fullsize turnout. :thumbup

I live in orlando so that is almost in my backyard. My truck is mostly stock though and I am not sure it is ready for mud. Especially with the recent oil pressure (or gauge) issue. truthfully, it hasnt been in mud or off road once since I bought it 9 months ago. I heard you have to clean the heck out of the transfer case, etc after you get it muddy. Is this true?

jermil01
10-02-2003, 04:40 PM
Ledee, there's no better time then Mudtoberfest to get your rig dirty, why not break it in?? You'll be fine, just take a pressure hose to the underneath of your rig after having it in the mud..personally I'm always more worried about the brakes than the t-case. but you should clean everything off thoroughly anytime you go through mud. Anyway, look even if you decide you don't want to ride your rig out there, you can still come down. I'm sure there will be some mostly stock rigs, plus you can ride shotgun with one of us if you're not comfortable with the trails there.

GearHead
10-02-2003, 09:17 PM
i am there. i'll probably meet you guys at the motel, and head home sat nite. like jer said, if anything gets to thick for there truck, they can ride shotgun. so what time should us local guys meet you all at the roach motel?

This from SEEB's website:

Our event takes place on private property that has a locked gate at the entrance. For this reason we will only have someone tending the gate from4-6pm on Fri. and 8:30-10am on Sat. and Sun. If you need to make other arrangements please contact Jim Dombrowski or myself.

I am going to try to make it down on Sat AM. I'd like to see if I could maybe meet everybody at the hotel, since that seems like the best reference point, rather than trying to locate the actual property. (?)

I hope to have my sag swap done by this weekend, so that will probably make a nice difference in the mud, but I won't expect too much from these tires. :)
Oh well, run what ya brung.

I'll be in a white 95.

I'm new to this and i'v been to three mud hole . The first two were fun but the last one i was there for less than a hour and pull two other guys out that were in fairly stock trucks like mine and then when i got mine stuck nobody would help and thats not the group of guys i want to be a round.

jermil01
10-03-2003, 10:53 AM
Hell yeah you can definitely go..But first we need to properly welcome you, so head on over to the intro forum and post some info about your rig, year, mods and such, and then we'll go from there. Oh yeah, and we need some pics of your rig..

jermil01

jermil01

Gobucs, I'm probably just going to bring some stuff, cokes and what not, they might have a 7-11 but I'm not sure. St. Cloud where we will be leaving from is a decent size so I'm sure there will be a place where you can buy some grub if you need to.

John, it does not look like I will be able to head out Friday, unless it's really late..So I will most likely be leaving Saturday morning around 6 am. It sucks, but I had something come up.

Heh... I'm semi-interested. I'd like to take off from work and actually go out riding with some people instead of by myself for a change.

I've got three bald mud terrains and a bald A/T. Dont think I could do too much with it tho. :\ Damn money flies out the window before I can move it from checking into savings.

I'll have one.
What channel will everybody be on? (CB)
I'm leaving my house Sat. AM. around 0700. 74 miles puts me in the area around 0830.
Should I try to meet at a certain hotel?
Or would Jermil01 or Gearhead want to try to meet somewhere beforehand, since they're sort of coming from the same direction that I am?
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Anybody have a Nextel # they'd want to give out (or PM to me) so I could beep you when I get in the area?

Heh... I'll put my room number on a sheet of paper on the dashboard...so whoever can find me to wake me up. I've got a habit of sleeping late. :\

Look for a Bronco like this... minus the SimplerSolar magnetics, but *with* about the same amount of mud/dirt.
