I've got t5o go outa town for a lil bit and wanna carry my XBOX with me, do ya think any of the scanning/x-raying and such will effect it??

Also does anyone know how to "mod" an XBOX and what does it usualy cost???

One more thing does modding an XBOX just improve it's memory or will it actualy help it keep from locking up on games such as Morrow Wind??

OK now I wanna know how to do that too and still don't have my other questions answered...:banghead

I softmodded my xbox, for Halo2 only. I used mechassault, got linux, ppf-o-matic, etc.
Then I had to repace the origional map files on Halo2 with the modded map files that cam in a .ppf file. These you overwrote onto the .map files and now its "modded". I know I explained shitty but you get the point.

OK Blaze, from what I gather the type of modding you need is "hardmodding". Hardmodding is actually replacing/changing the hardware inside your xbox.
You are going to need a "Mod Chip". A mod chip basically tricks the xbox into being able to store games that are for other consules and run them. There are many to choose from. BUT, this requires(in some cases) soldering and opening up the case, therefore voiding any warranty you had left.

To mod your x-box your looking at about 100 for a mod chip. Then you can just download games to your x-box. I know my friends have over 200 games just downloaded on their x-box. They were playing "Black" before it came out.

don' know much about the mods but as far as x-rays it should be fine. if it doesnt hurt a laptop, it wont hurt an xbox.
