Finaly after years of saving and bugging Chris at Bronco Air for measurements and such I was able to take advantage of the last group buy and here is the results....

I cut my Maink Grill Guard and bolted it to the new bumper, I was going to have it welded but since I plan on using this bumper as it was designed for a 12,000lb winch I though twice and bolted it so I can access the winch without removing the whole bumper.

I was a little disappointed that the tabs were not as wide as the ones on my rear bumper that david made for me, so I plan on having these beefed up, not that I don't think they are strong but with the shackles I have (bought 4 of the same when I got the rear bumper) I don't like the way they look if you put tension on them at anything but an exactly striaght angle

I love the profile too, especially from the side :toothless

Brackets are awesome, in fact I plan to bolt a steel plate under here both as protection from rock and from splashing mud which claimed my alternator last trip to Paragon

Chris said to be honest in the overall review:

Shipping, Great and timely
Product exactly as described

One thing I did order it without the light holes, but was so excited that I mounted it anyway even though Chris offered to correct the problem at his expense, so now I need a couple more lights (really the last thing I thought I would be buying)

If it was my design, I would incorporate a skid plate, and a class III reciever in the bumper, which I still am looking into, the reciever not so much for a tow point since they are there but I have been known to have to move some trailers into some tight plases for winter storage, and also is a great place for a bike rack, cooler rack, or any hitch style accessory

All and all a GREAT PRODUCT, and GREAT VENDOR to deal with AAA+++

Looks good. I know I beefed up my mounting brackets a lot more than than when I did mine after ripping off my front bumper but that might work. On the brush guard I'd tend to guess the little mounts you made would break off under impact causing the brush guard to do more damage than any impact but I will admit it does look good a lot better than most and almost tempts me to make something like it. On the shackles I'd say there's no reason to beef it up if the pin fits tight in teh hole there will be no issue with pulling sideways

How far out does the bumper extend from the grill? Around 4 or 6 inches?? or is it more, I just want an estimate since I know a winch fits in there. a tape measure from the bottom of the grill to the front of the bumper would work

Its almost 10 inches out from the front, it looked very odd before I mounted the grill guard to it. As for that I used the old grill gaurd brackets, and some grade 8 bolts, I don't think it is going anywhere under impact, and if it does, then all it will do is damage whatever it hits, which wont be me, but more then likely the damn fool that did not get out of my way :thumbup

That looks awesome! Very beefy bumper and looks to be well built. I like how it really matches up with the body lines.

Awesome write-up. You did EXACTLY what I plan on doing when I get a new bumper (put the brushguard on the bumper).

Looks great!

Im no fan of the grill gaurd, i never have understood those things. And im not sure where you would put a hitch mount with the winch hole right there.

grill guard was around $350 about 6 years ago, never rusted, it is a manik. Cannot say the same for my westin nerf bars, but i will replace those with sliders once we lift it....

And as to when are we lifting it

Not Soon Enough

And i hope to be wheeling in June at paragon with that 30th anniversary ride, as usually moeny is funny again

Oh yeah, and it makes it easier to put 15 or 16 trailers into a small hole in a row behind a building not to mention you can put a bike rack on the front when you are towing a trailer, instead of bungee cording the bikes to the grill gaurd like i used to do
