Since I'm new to Colorado Springs again, I've seen Avenger, and I knew about Tanner 4x4 when I was here before 4 years ago.

What places do ya'll go to for repairs and such? What do ya'll think about avenger? All the jeep guys I work with go there but they are jeepers....

Where I live I have access to do most of my own repairs though but I think I need to have my tranny checked soon. Also looking for someone who does transfer cases.

You can also try posting this over on Rocky Mountain Ford Truck Club's (http://www.rmftc.com/forums/) website. I don't live in the Springs, but we do have some members down there they maybe able to point you in the right direction, if you don't find what you are looking for here.

A good run since you're new here would be to pick up Rampart range road in Garden of the Gods and take it up to Castle Rock. If you stay on the road a car can make it if they go real slow, but there's lots of turn-offs that offer some challenge.

Yeah I drove that road a few times when I was here before. I hate it. We used to go to the gun range up there. I hear its trashed now though.

Does that road tie into Mt Herman Rd? I was thinking of riding up Mt Herman.

Yeah that gun range is horrible. They had to tow a car out of it about a year ago and threatened to shut it down. Rampart range does run into Mt. Herman Rd. and you can also drive up to the Palmer Lake reservoir. The roads up there are like a maze as they even connect to Woodland Park. Pull up Monument on Mapquest and just scroll to the west and you'll be able to see all kinds of dirt roads in the middle of nowhere up in the mountains.

look up predator, i think they are pretty good. they are spendy though. might be better off going to tranny place for your tranny problem.

take a little trip up old stage road. there is quite a bit up there to look at. you can take it to victor and then snoop around there. there is a great resturant in cripple creek where you can get bunch of food cheap (maggies). then head down phantom canyon to highway 50. come back to springs via 115. peace.
