sewiv 07-26-2006, 02:54 PM Nice. Wish I'd bought that.
Do you sell the components? I'd like a lug for the megafuse block and some heatshrink, so I can shorten my too long charge cable.
Fireguy50 07-26-2006, 03:22 PM Added a Replacment Lug Kit to the wed site
5/16" lug for Mega-Fuse
2" Red Adhesive Lined Heat Shrink
1 Solder Pellet

sewiv 07-26-2006, 03:36 PM Excellent.
(I have to say, that's some impressive response time to a customer-expressed desire.)
Joes93Bronco 07-26-2006, 03:45 PM Thanx Ryan I'll be orderin that real quick! I was unsure as the length myself and it always seemed to get pushed back cause of it. Way to go man :thumbup

Davids78Bronco 07-26-2006, 05:21 PM Right on! I'll be ordering one, for my 3G, sometime in the near future
redwagon 07-26-2006, 07:54 PM (thread hijack) can you get just the boots? and in different colors? (end hijack)
Fireguy50 07-26-2006, 08:33 PM What do you need the boots for?
I typically only use Red boots because ground isn't dangerous.

kemicalburns 07-27-2006, 06:26 PM Ryan, i am gonna be doing a 3g install on my uncles 390 using a 92 taurus 130amp. would the wiring harness listed first on your site get the job done and of course i would need to order the fuse block/cable package as well.
Dustin 07-28-2006, 12:00 AM question....what are you using for connections to the battery itself? like battery terminals? I need to get this kit from you but would also like to order everything to redo my starting/charging system for 2 batterys at the same time.
you can pm me some info if you dont want to clog up this thread. I want to do this soon and pretty much planned to get it from you so let me know
Fireguy50 07-28-2006, 01:41 AM you want some solder on lugs for top post batteries?
Dustin 07-28-2006, 02:07 AM I would like to do everything and make provisions for duel batterys. I would need everything to do that from you.

3G's all hook up the same, only change between vehicles is how much old junk there is to remove.
You can get rid of all the old wiring and regulator.
kemicalburns 07-31-2006, 12:45 AM Thanks Ryan, i will get a harness ordered then.
Switch 07-31-2006, 09:59 PM Must have a Propane torch for assembly
So what kind of torch, like the small ones you can buy at Home Depot/Lowes for soldering copper pipe?

Dustin 07-31-2006, 10:11 PM This is the style I use......

Fireguy50 08-01-2006, 12:52 AM I use a larger Bernzomatic for these cables, but I guess the smaller one Dustin has would work.

Ive done them with it, just takes a little longer to heat up. I solder alot of stuff with my little torch, even have a soder tip for it
Switch 08-01-2006, 03:00 AM So how do you solder those? Just heat up the lug with the solder pellet in it, then put the wire in while the solder is liquid?
I've never soldered those battery lugs before, just the smaller gauge wires.
Fireguy50 08-01-2006, 01:49 PM that's it, not too hard a task
Switch 08-01-2006, 06:40 PM Cool, I'll have to order some parts next payday.
:thumbup
WasACop3436 08-04-2006, 05:13 AM OK Ryan,
I just ordered...
160 amp side mount alt
200 amp rectifier
2 1/4 serp pully
and the
charge cable kit.
It is being shipped to Christopher Harper in San Diego CA.
Is there any way you or your associates put 225A fuses in the kit instead of 175?
Chris
Fireguy50 08-04-2006, 04:28 PM Yes I can send you 225A fuses
Just keep the cable as short as possible!
WasACop3436 08-05-2006, 02:36 AM Thanks Ryan! Short cable, got it!:thumbup
I will do a short write up when i install it.
Accessory Man 08-12-2006, 03:09 PM just ordered, was gonna look for this stuff locally but I would rather support a fellow Bronco owner:thumbup
p54519 08-21-2006, 02:45 PM I ordered the longest prefab style and was planning to just cut it down if it was too long. Any problem with that?
Fireguy50 08-21-2006, 05:51 PM you need the correct lugs or it will ruin the quality of the product.
