AP Wire -in other news, worker productivity reached an all-time high nationwide and in Canada on Thursday. Leading economists and business owners were simply unable to explain the additional output by the work force and are scratching their collective heads.

One such owner, Beuford T. Doowhat, of Columbia, South Carolina, was advised by his IT department that there was an "efesbee" glitch which hit the company Thursday morning, which he assumed would cripple their ability to process orders. Mr. Doowhat had no idea what his IT team was actually referring to, just that it sounded very serious, so he hoped for the best. Despite the gloomy mood at his facilities after word of the "efesbee" glitch spread, however, record levels of output were suddenly achieved.

"Ah just dunno," Mr. Doowhat stated, "one minute everybody's head was at their computers, working hard like usual, next thing ah know, people are off doing stuff away from the computer, I guess taking care of things manually."

Mr. Doowhat attributes that to workers rising to meet the challenge, whatever it was, of the "efesbee" glitch. Sometime after 3 pm, worker productivity returned back to "normal" levels, however, which curiously coincided with the "efesbee" system glitch being resolved. Despite inquiries, Mr. Doowhat's IT department, as well as IT departments around the country, are maintaining a stony silence on the issue.
