Well I went to use the pods to move my stuff. They are the BIGGEST rip off in the world. I was quoted 214.45 to move my stuff from VA beach to Suffolk. and after they dropped it off they told me there would be a 59.00 charge for dropoff and pickup and that there would also be a 123.00 fee to move it to my new house but it was too late to tell them to take it back because they had already delivered it. TOTAL BULLSHIT! I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and a local news station to investigate. we will see what happens.

What's pods?
A portable storage that they drop off at your house...you pack it up and call them and they come back and pick it up..

What's pods?
Its like a moving Truck only you put your stuff in the "Pod" and the they come pick it up and deliver it where you want...It looks like a half a Trailer....
That sux, I heard good things about them, I would defenitely see if they have scammed others....Maybe this is a franchise and you can inform the Company of the way they are doing bussiness...
Good Luck,

Yeah I thought that too since they were reccomended by a couple of my friends and of course they said the franchise handled acct inquiries for that area. I called them and they were all attitude.

I checked into it a few mos. ago. It definitely ain't for the budget concious mover. Convenient if ya got the money to throw-but not worth it to me.

Oh, well hell, I did that when I moved from AK to OR here, but went thru a private company instead. I got me a 20ft container. So dang, sorry to hear about the problems

I am using an onsite storage 8x20 runs 85/month and there is a $65 drop off/pick up fee when i am all done with it. here a 10x20 mini storage cost $100+/month and i would have to drive if i ever needed anything so for me its well worth it.

I recently got quotes from 6 individual pods type moving services.
PODS themselves were twice as expensive as everyone else

What's the distance on the total move? Have you compared it to what it would cost you if you used a U-Haul etc plus fuel?
